Hi, I'm Paula Whidden, LMFT, LPCC. MDiv
You may look like you're managing on the outside while feeling overwhelmed on the inside. Perhaps your mind won't slow down at night, anxiety keeps you on edge, or painful experiences from the past continue to affect your relationships, confidence, or sense of peace. You may feel exhausted from carrying burdens that no one else can see.
I help teens and adults who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, stress, and life transitions find healing, hope, and practical tools for lasting change. Together, we'll work to understand what is keeping you stuck, process difficult experiences, and build skills that help you move forward with greater confidence and emotional freedom.
My approach is warm, supportive, and goal-oriented. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard, respected, and safe enough to explore both your struggles and your strengths. I strive to create an environment where clients can heal without judgment while learning new ways to respond to life's challenges.

Hello, I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I am a graduate of Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary and have been a practicing clinician for the past 10 years. I enjoy assisting clients in discovering their unique strengths and gifts that can be applied to improving mental health. My practice focuses on adults struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and parenting difficulties.
Over human history, people have mostly lived in close-knit communities. This has eroded with the advances in transportation and technology. Most people have lost much of the social support our forebearers enjoyed. Mental Health Professionals have taken on this role in their respective communities and are an excellent resource for you to realize your strengths and improve your well-being. When your car breaks down you take it to a mechanic. When your tooth hurts you see a dentist. When your mental health can use a “tune-up,” see a Mental Health Professional!
Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. I received my Masters from the University of Southern California (USC) emphasis in Mental Health and Military Social Work. I have been practicing for 7 years. I help US Military Service Members and Veteran's struggling with adjusting to civilian life, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety and Anger Management skills. You know what you have to do, where you have to be and when you have to be there and going to waking up as a civilian to “what do I do now” can be a struggle. This is where I can help with the transition to civilian life.
Therapy doesn't have to feel stiff or intimidating. I aim to create a space where you can show up as you are—messy thoughts, difficult feelings, awkward questions, and all. My style is warm, personable, and direct, and I believe that meaningful growth happens when you feel both supported and challenged. Humor often has a place in the process, too.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and cross-cultural identity experiences. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply unsure of your next step, we'll work together to better understand what's happening beneath the surface and build practical strategies for moving forward.
I offer in-person therapy in Irvine and online sessions throughout California, providing flexible support wherever you are in your journey.

Marriage & Family Therapist | Couples Counseling | Postpartum & First-Time Parent Support
The transition into parenthood can place unexpected strain on even strong relationships. Many couples experience increased conflict, emotional distance, or difficulty communicating after the birth of a child. First-time parents may also struggle with anxiety, overwhelm, identity shifts, and symptoms of postpartum depression or anxiety that feel isolating or hard to name.
I specialize in working with couples and first-time parents navigating relationship stress and postpartum mental health challenges. I support clients through this transition by helping them strengthen communication, rebuild emotional safety, and develop practical tools that support both individual well-being and long-term relationship health.
Clients often come to therapy feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward together. In our work, we slow things down, identify unhelpful patterns, and build skills for emotional regulation, clearer communication, and deeper connection — both individually and as a couple.
My approach is culturally aware, trauma-informed therapist who works collaboratively with clients to create a space that feels safe, respectful and grounded in authenticity. It is important that my clients feel emotionally safe, seen and empowered. I intend to create an environment where they can feel comfortable to navigate the challenging and difficult experiences they have endured throughout their life.
Growing up isn't always easy. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or the many transitions that come with adolescence and young adulthood, you don't have to face it alone. I specialize in helping teens and young adults better understand themselves, build healthy coping skills, heal from difficult experiences, and gain confidence as they move toward the life they want.
My journey to becoming a therapist began in child welfare, where I witnessed firsthand the resilience of young people and the complex challenges many families face. For more than 10 years, I've been committed to serving underserved communities and providing a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. My goal is to walk alongside you, helping you navigate life's challenges while building the tools and confidence needed to reach your personal goals.

I believe my communication style is calm and gentle, while still being direct. I do my best to provide a nonjudgmental space wherein the clients I work with can feel comfortable sharing their concerns. My goal is to empower clients to reach their goals, so they can learn tools and techniques to help them better build upon their strengths and manage mental health symptoms. Eventually, my hope is for all of my clients to feel they are in a place where they can manage symptoms and life stressors on their own, through utilizing the skills they've learned throughout therapy. But until that time, I aim to help my clients learn how to change maladaptive patterns of behavior, and learn ways of helping their selves manage the challenges they are facing.

Hi there, my name is Allison. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I have over a decade of experience working with adults and teens and specialize in anxiety, perfectionism, depression and perinatal mental health.
Therapy is not "one size fits all" so I always tailor my approach to fit the needs and personality of each individual client. Together we will identify your personal strengths, obstacles and values, which we will then use to set goals and ultimately facilitate meaningful change.
I imagine that you have tried to manage your mental health on your own but may be feeling frustrated or stuck. Therapy can provide the support and structure that is often needed to help us overcome the many challenges life can throw our way. So if you're ready to take the next step, let's talk.
I’m really glad you’re here.
I’m Shannon, a licensed psychotherapist and certified yoga therapist. I work with individuals and couples who feel overwhelmed, stuck in their relationships, or disconnected from themselves.
If you tend to overthink, feel anxious in connection, or shut down when things get hard—you’re not alone. Together, we slow things down so you can understand what’s actually happening inside you, and learn how to feel more like yourself again.
My work blends talk therapy with body awareness, because real change doesn’t just happen in your head—it happens when you can feel it.
Hi, I'm Jaclyn, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, perfectionism, and self-esteem. I am passionate about helping people build a healthier relationship with food, their bodies, and themselves so they can spend less time struggling and more time engaging in the things that matter most to them.
Many of the clients I work with feel exhausted by constant self-criticism, food and body thoughts, anxiety, or the pressure to get everything "right." They may find themselves stuck in cycles of restriction, binge eating, emotional eating, people-pleasing, or perfectionism, despite their best efforts to change. My goal is to help clients better understand the patterns keeping them stuck while developing practical tools to create meaningful and lasting change.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, self-compassion work, and values-based approaches to help clients develop greater awareness, emotional resilience, and flexibility. I believe that lasting change is most sustainable when it comes from a place of understanding and self-compassion rather than shame or self-judgment.
Therapy with me is not about achieving perfection. Instead, it is about learning how to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, self-awareness, and kindness toward yourself. Whether you are struggling with an eating disorder, body image concerns, anxiety, or feeling disconnected from yourself, I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where healing and growth can occur.
Reaching out for support can be difficult, and I am honored to walk alongside clients as they move toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
This sounds polished for Grow while still feeling like you—warm, compassionate, and clearly focused on eating disorders and body image work.
As a licensed psychotherapist, I have become quite the encourager for reminding clients that mental health is absolutely a vital piece of the puzzle when considering overall well-being. Mental health and stability are so important, and I commend you for reaching out to take care of your mental health care needs.
I have been seeing clients since 2018. I graduated from Antioch University, Los Angeles' LGBT Affirmative specialization and my focus is working with gay Latino men, or men who have sex with men. I am, however, open to working with anyone as therapy is not so much theory-based but relationship-based, so having a strong rapport with the client is always of utmost importance.
In my personal life, some things I enjoy are traveling, (I want to see as much of the world as I possibly can) writing (I love the fantasy genre), going to the cinema (I love fantasy, mystery & film noir), exercising, and enjoying a nice meal with friends and family.
Reaching out for help takes courage, and you are taking a step towards healing. Although this decision is brave, it can also be overwhelming. Life is full of situations that can leave you with sadness, anxiety, depression, or simply feeling lost and hopeless. Struggling with mental health can feel lonely and isolating. Working together with a therapist CAN change that. I find it meaningful to help clients better understand their inherent value and self-worth. In this way, while building a mutual understanding, we can find the best pace for you to take steps that can lead to growth. I am here to support you, to hear you, and to help you. I believe in a client-centered approach, meaning you are the expert on your life and I am here to help you.
Thank you for taking a moment to connect with me. My name is Shohreh, but you can call me Sho. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I genuinely care about helping people navigate their unique journeys toward healing and self-discovery.
I understand that life can sometimes feel overwhelming, leaving you feeling lost or unsure about the next steps. I want you to know that you’re not alone in this experience. It would be a privilege to walk alongside you, guiding you as you reclaim your true self.
My approach to therapy is holistic, recognizing the connection between the soul, body, and mind. I incorporate various techniques, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, EMDR for trauma, brainspotting, mindfulness, motivational therapy, psychoeducation, and client-centered therapy. Each session is tailored to your individual needs, ensuring that you feel heard and understood.
You deserve a life filled with harmony and joy. I want to hear your story, so please don’t hesitate to reach out. Your journey to a brighter future can begin today.
