New to Grow
My educational and professional background is in social work, with an emphasis on children and families and a focus on the environmental, systemic, and cultural factors that impact family systems. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals navigating complex life transitions, stressors, and barriers, and I bring a compassionate, strengths-based lens to this work. I am especially enthusiastic about returning to a practice setting focused on working with adults, where I can support clients in exploring identity, healing, and growth.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Clients can expect the first session to be a supportive, low-pressure space focused on getting to know one another. I prioritize building safety and trust while learning about the client’s goals, concerns, and the broader factors influencing their life. The session is collaborative and paced to the client’s comfort.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is my commitment to deeply listening and centering each client’s voice. I prioritize creating a space where clients feel heard, understood, and respected without judgment. My work is grounded in empathy, compassion, and a strong belief in clients’ capacity for growth and self-determination. I tailor my approach to what each individual needs, ensuring therapy feels collaborative, affirming, and responsive to their lived experience.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My approach to therapy centers on holding space for what each client needs in the moment. I work from a holistic, compassionate, and empathetic lens, honoring the full context of a person’s lived experience—mind, body, relationships, culture, and environment. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives, and therapy is a collaborative process that supports self-determination, agency, and growth. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to move toward their own goals at their own pace.
Narrative
I use Narrative Therapy to help clients separate themselves from the issues they’re experiencing and recognize their strengths. In practice, we work to “externalize” challenges—seeing them as something influencing you, not defining you—and collaboratively re-author your story in a way that reflects your values, culture, and goals. This approach is respectful, empowering, and centered on your voice and lived experience.
Grief Therapy
I use grief therapy to offer a compassionate space where you can process loss in a way that feels safe and meaningful. I recognize that grief is shaped by culture, family traditions, and personal beliefs, and I honor those influences in our work together. In practice, we explore your unique experience of loss, respect cultural values around mourning and healing, and identify supportive ways to cope and find meaning moving forward.
