Welcome! I’m Dynesha Crooks, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been a Medical Social Worker for over 18 years. I am a lover of mindfulness and an advocate for mental wellness. I truly believe all can benefit from supportive guidance during life events, especially while dealing with grief and loss, depression, and anxiety. In our initial session, we will explore and discuss what your goals are. I would also like to learn who you are as a person. In our future sessions together I will allow space for you to be your authentic self by crafting a supportive and inspiring environment to help you explore and heal.

Over the past 18 years my desire to connect with and help others is what drives me to do what I do. Determination to combat stereotypes and stigmas surrounding mental health conditions is what fuels my passion. In addition, my desire to engage in meaningful work as it brings about changes in people’s lives is what helps me continue my journey.

I specialize in motivational interviewing therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and have a passion for helping others overcome anxiety and depression and any other life-changing events. My approach is personalized and rooted in research, designed to help you gain the tools and confidence to face life’s challenges. I love working with individuals who are motivated to put their mental health as a priority.

I like to use Strength based therapy as it focuses on identifying and utilizing your existing strength to address challenges and improve mental well-being. I also use this method as ultimately it leads to benefits like increase self-esteem, motivation, resilience, a more positive outlook, and better coping mechanisms. It also focuses on promoting a sense of empowerment and hopefulness by leveraging inherent capabilities in individuals.
