I am passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those I serve. My goal is to help clients navigate life's challenges, foster personal growth, and promote well-being through compassionate and ethical social work practice.

I believe in approaching therapy from a warm, genuine, and validating perspective and often use humor to help my clients get “unstuck” from unhelpful thinking patterns. My job is to be your mirror to see what is already there: infinite wisdom.
Being a therapist is a lifelong passion for me and is rooted in my dedication to supporting adults, children, families, and communities in building safety, resilience, and hope. My journey has taken me from my home county of Santa Cruz where I advocated and ran groups for youth living in situations including domestic violence from 2011-2013, to working as a shelter counselor in Oakland for youth 13-21 from 2016-2018. I worked in serving famillies with San Francisco Child and Family Services, where I partnered with families navigating reunification with their children while providing psychoeducation and crisis counseling during critical moments from 2018-2022. I have been licensed with my LCSW since May 2025 and focused my prior professional development around harm reduction and culturally focused treatment, aligning with my commitment to social justice and culturally responsive care.

Supporting 20-Somethings Who Are Ready to Live Their Most Peace-Filled, Confident Lives
Hey friend, I'm so glad you're here. My name is Devoney. If you're struggling with overthinking, replaying conversations in your mind & feeling like your brain is always going - I would love to support you.
My work blends nervous system healing, healthy habits & mental wellness tools so you can get out of "anxiety mode" and start feeling more present, more calm & more confident.
I teach yoga and deeply believe in taking a holistic approach to healing & living your best life. We'll check in on your movement, sleep, screen time.
I blend evidence-based practices, mind/body tools, nervous system regulation and practical skills you can actually use in your everyday life so you can walk away from each session feeling like "oh that makes so much sense" and "I know exactly what I'm going to practice this week."
My hope is that you'll know yourself better, why your body feels the way it does, and how to better love and care for yourself... so you can show up fully and unapologetically for your life!
Are you feeling stuck, disconnected in your relationships, or noticing patterns that you don’t fully understand? You may be wanting to explore deeper—unpacking core beliefs or unresolved experiences that are impacting how you relate to others and to yourself. This process of gaining insight and gently challenging those patterns can be a meaningful step toward healing and growth.
I have experience working with BIPOC individuals, women navigating anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem, and individuals experiencing challenges with emotion regulation. I also support clients who are working toward feeling more like themselves again—reconnecting with a sense of balance, clarity, and emotional grounding.
Finding a therapist who feels like the right fit is an important part of the process. If what you’re reading resonates with you, I would be honored to support you in this work. Our sessions—whether weekly or biweekly—are a dedicated space for you to slow down, reflect, and focus on your needs.
My current availability is during daytime hours, between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and I am not offering evening appointments at this time.
I look forward to walking alongside you in your healing journey.
Are you looking for a relatable therapist that will meet you exactly where you're at? As a licensed marriage and family therapist, my passion is to go alongside of my client's walking through hard times with them. I am certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and find great satisfaction assisting others in their trauma journey. My focus is to help individuals heal from the inside out by helping them discover their inner strengths. I believe we are better together. I assist my clients by providing a neutral safe space, listening to their concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
Couples: I am TAKING Couples again. However only on Cash Pay basis. This is how it will work: You can schedule with me an hour consultation, you don't both have to be present, for this Consultation. From there we will meet 5 to 6 times for 1.5 hour sessions. It is very difficult to have Couples sessions within 60 min. The Cash pay is $250.00 for the 1.5 hour sessions. I understand the cost can be a deterrent in seeking help, however if you are both committed to doing the work 5 to 6 sessions should be productive and enough to see changes.
Individuals: Of course I am still taking individuals that are or are not in a relationship and need help. We were never taught how to be in a relationship of any kind. Yes there are tons of books of how to, however to put them to practical use can be very difficult. This can also relate to a relationship with a family member, friends or co-workers.
Sometimes our own mental health can influence all of our relationships, and you may need coping techniques for anxiety and or depression type symptoms. I will work with you individually to help you gain insight to your own behavior that may be influencing your relationship.
I am here to help with coping strategies for anxiety and depression symptoms or learning how to communicate more effectively with others.

Greetings,
Life can be confusing, relationships can be stressful, and the present can make you feel anxious or depressed. Sometimes a painful past can surface into the moment, especially when situations are difficult or when you are experiencing major change. During these periods your mood and thoughts can be affected in negative ways. When you are feeling alone, disconnected, or confused, talking things through can make all the difference.
I work with anyone struggling to find joy, peace, and fulfillment. I offer a safe, inviting space for you to share thoughts and feelings, to vent, to feel heard, and to reorient to meaning. Please allow me to assist you finding relief and clarity. I will meet you where you are at and welcome you. I address healing on multiple levels of the body-mind connection with a focus on the notion that caring about something or someone along with experiencing meaning can counterbalance the effects of hurt, a disturbing past, or a present stressful situation or transition.
I have more than 20 years of experience helping clients navigate major change and transition, gain closure, and create new beginnings. I apply interventions from a mind-body-being perspective and assess current life stressors to distinguish between situational mood and thought disturbances from those enduring and a consequence of previous hurt or trauma.
As a provider, my greatest strengths lie in my deep empathy, active listening, and a commitment to mindful curiosity. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and I strive to create a safe, supportive space where your unique story can be truly heard and valued. Rather than simply diagnosing a problem, I listen for the 'hidden' stories of your strengths and values that often get overshadowed. My approach to active listening is about more than just understanding; it’s about standing alongside you to deconstruct the challenges you face and uncover the skills you already possess. Together, we will collaborate to rewrite the narratives that no longer serve you, fostering a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and the reclamation of your personal agency.

You might feel like you’ve been carrying too much for too long—trying to keep it together while life feels heavier than it should. Maybe anxiety keeps running the show. Maybe you’ve been stuck in habits or patterns that don’t serve you anymore. Maybe you’ve gone through heartbreak, loss, or betrayal and can’t quite find your footing again. Or maybe you just know something’s off, and you’re tired of pretending everything’s fine.
Here’s how I can help.
Together, we’ll slow things down and get to the root of what’s really driving your emotions and behaviors—not just the surface stress, but the deeper patterns that keep showing up. I’ll help you develop tools to manage overwhelming thoughts and feelings in real time so you can start responding differently instead of reacting automatically.
We’ll also focus on rebuilding your confidence and connection—with yourself and the people who matter most. That means learning how to trust your own instincts again, set boundaries without guilt, and create habits that actually last.
Therapy with me isn’t about endlessly talking through problems—it’s about real movement. My goal is to help you feel lighter, more grounded, and genuinely hopeful about where you’re headed.

I believe meaningful change begins with connection. I meet each client where they are, creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and respected. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, focused on building resilience, increasing self awareness, and helping you develop practical tools that you can use in your everyday life.
I offer flexible virtual sessions designed to fit into your schedule while providing accessible, high quality care.
