LCSW, 1 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello, and welcome! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience in medical social work, and I’m now bringing that deep, compassionate care into private practice. Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with individuals and families navigating some of life’s most challenging moments—chronic illness, hospitalization, loss, and major life transitions. My background in healthcare has given me a unique perspective on the connection between physical and emotional well-being. I understand how medical issues can impact mental health, relationships, and overall quality of life. I’ve supported patients and families through grief, anxiety, depression, caregiving stress, and adjustment to new diagnoses, and I bring that same thoughtful approach to therapy. When working with clients, I offer a warm, collaborative space where you can explore your experiences, build resilience, and move toward healing. Whether you’re coping with health-related stress, life transitions, or seeking greater emotional balance, I’m here to walk with you at your pace. Starting therapy can feel like a big step. I aim to make that step feel grounded, safe, and supportive.
As a strengths-based clinician, my focus isn’t just on what’s challenging in your life—it’s also about what’s working, what’s helped you survive up to this point, and the inner resources you may not even realize you already have. Rather than pathologizing or diving straight into “fixing” problems, we’ll begin by exploring what matters to you, what you value, and what brings you to therapy. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you access clarity and confidence, not to label or judge. When you are ready, you’ll be invited to reflect on times when you’ve overcome adversity, shown resilience, or tapped into inner strengths. This helps us build a foundation of self-trust and shows you that growth is already part of your story. We will acknowledge challenges, and I’ll help you start identifying goals, values, and possibilities for change that feel realistic and meaningful to you. Whether you're facing burnout, grief, identity shifts, or anxiety, we’ll also explore what gives you hope and energy. You won’t be pressured to dive deep into trauma or pain until you feel safe and ready. Strengths-based therapy honors your autonomy, voice, and timing. Your story unfolds on your terms.
Strengths-based therapy can enhance client outcomes by promoting a healthier, more collaborative, and empowering therapeutic process. A few positive aspects of a strengths-based approach that I like to highlight include encouraging resilience, building on existing coping strategies, and promoting a growth mindset. With my years of experience in the medical field paired with a strengths-based approach in therapy, my clients will be empowered to recognize the resources within themselves to handle life's challenges. My goal in working with clients is that they will feel supported, understood, and hopeful about the future.
In my private practice, I hold space especially for women, people of color, and anyone committed to personal growth—even when that path feels uncertain or difficult. I believe deeply in the power of resilience, and I work from a culturally attuned, strengths-based lens that honors each client’s lived experience. Whether you’re navigating stress, identity shifts, burnout, or seeking deeper self-understanding, I offer a warm, collaborative environment where your growth is nurtured and supported. I’m here to help you reconnect with your voice, values, and capacity for change. Over the years, I’ve learned that healing is not linear, and meaningful change often begins when we feel truly seen and heard. Therapy with me isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about partnering in a process that centers you. If you're ready to invest in yourself, expand your self-awareness, and move toward a more empowered version of your life, I’d be honored to walk with you.
Instead of focusing on a client's problems or deficits, using a strength-based approach in therapy allows me to focus on the individuals' strengths, existing resources and positive qualities. This therapeutic approach encourages client empowerment and developing client's resilience/coping mechanisms by building on their strengths.
