Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Diana Uribe, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping individuals empower themselves and live their best lives! I have a B.A. from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and obtained my MSW from the University of California, Los Angeles. During my education and career, I've had the opportunity to work with victims of domestic violence and human trafficking, older adults, veterans, hospice patients, and survivors of childhood abuse and trauma. I've also taught parenting classes and life skills workshops and facilitated counseling support groups. I know that it can be difficult to seek help. It would be an honor for me to partner with you in order to reach your emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical well-being. I am currently accepting teletherapy clients for therapy and life coaching on a biweekly basis. Please feel free to reach out and tell me about yourself and what you're looking for. I look forward to hearing from you!
It is helpful to schedule a consultation first in order to get an idea of whether or not we'd be a good fit. In our initial therapy session, I will want to know more about what's been going on that led you to seek therapy and what you'd like to get out of therapy. I will never push for information that you're not comfortable sharing at the beginning, but I may ask some difficult questions regarding history and past trauma to start identify potential treatment goals and best modalities for addressing challenges.
My areas of specialization include treating anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, and attachment-focused challenges.
I enjoy working with adults of all ages and demographics.
ACT is great because it teaches us to create distance from our distressing thoughts and emotions in order to not become so dysregulated.
I love CBT because it is so helpful to be able to identify the thoughts that are causing us distress in order to learn how to better deal with them.
Learning how to regulate our emotions and tolerate distress are some of the most difficult but also important things we can do in order to be emotionally healthy adults, so I love DBT because it teaches us how to do just that.
