Hello, and welcome! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 17 years of experience in medical social work, and I’m now bringing that deep, compassionate care into private practice. Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with individuals and families navigating some of life’s most challenging moments—chronic illness, hospitalization, loss, and major life transitions. My healthcare background has given me a unique perspective on the connection between physical and emotional well-being. I understand how medical issues can impact mental health, relationships, and overall quality of life. I’ve supported patients and families through grief, anxiety, depression, caregiving stress, and adjustment to new diagnoses, and I bring that same thoughtful approach to therapy. When working with clients, I offer a warm, collaborative space where you can explore your experiences, build resilience, and move toward healing. Whether you’re coping with health-related stress, life transitions, or seeking greater emotional balance, I’m here to walk with you at your pace. Starting therapy can feel like a big step. I aim to make that step feel grounded, safe, and supportive.

Hi, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I'm here to support you through life's challenges with care, understanding, and a collaborative approach. I work with adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck or emotionally drained due to anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, or relationship challenges. Many of the clients I work with are balancing multiple responsibilities and are looking for a space where they feel understood while also gaining tools to move forward and improve their relationships with others and themselves. I understand starting therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard and genuinely supported. Together, we'll explore what's been weighing on you, make sense of patterns that may be limiting you, and begin building practical tools to help you feel more balanced and in control of your life journey. I use evidence-based approaches and incorporate mindfulness techniques to help you stay present, build self-awareness, and manage overwhelming thoughts and emotions. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented, focused on helping you build insight, strengthen coping skills, and feel more in control of your emotions and daily life. Together, we can work toward improving communication, setting healthy boundaries, and creating more balanced fulfilling relationships. Overtime, my goal is to help you feel more confident, grounded, and equipped to handle challenges in a way that aligns with your values. This is my first career and something I have always been pulled to; my journey is a thorough reflection of why I work in this field. My path to becoming a licensed therapist was very intuitive-based; I went through experiences of pain, guilt, shame, loss of self, and the loss of my overall sense of life. Through my journey, I was able to understand pain and trauma, taking on a lot of spiritual remedies while turning my pain into passion, my passion into purpose, and my purpose into power as a healer. Due to my licensure journey, I not only understand the educational part of pain, trauma, and healing, but I also experienced painful and challenging moments myself, bringing me to a higher purpose for self and meaning of life! I am highly intuitive, empathic, gentle, and calm, and I am a good listener and healer. I have worked in addiction, with children who have autism and intellectual disabilities, PTSD, anxiety, depression, life coaching, spirituality, and connecting to the higher self.

Couples: I am TAKING Couples again. However only on Cash Pay basis. This is how it will work: You can schedule with me an hour consultation, you don't both have to be present, for this Consultation. From there we will meet 5 to 6 times for 1.5 hour sessions. It is very difficult to have Couples sessions within 60 min. The Cash pay is $250.00 for the 1.5 hour sessions. I understand the cost can be a deterrent in seeking help, however if you are both committed to doing the work 5 to 6 sessions should be productive and enough to see changes. Individuals: Of course I am still taking individuals that are or are not in a relationship and need help. We were never taught how to be in a relationship of any kind. Yes there are tons of books of how to, however to put them to practical use can be very difficult. This can also relate to a relationship with a family member, friends or co-workers. I am here to help with coping strategies for anxiety and depression symptoms or learning how to communicate more effectively with others. For Clients that are insured by Kaiser: I will be confirming your appointment 48 hours before the appointment by email, please email me back with a confirmation. If you do not respond to my email I will cancel the appointment. I am sorry to have to do this, however I have had an excessive amount of no shows. Thank you for understanding.

Hello, my name is Steven Nelson, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over nine years of clinical experience. While my professional background includes family and relationship therapy, my current focus is working with individuals, helping each person navigate their unique journey toward healing, personal growth, and emotional well-being. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with people from diverse backgrounds and professions, including first responders, law enforcement personnel, active-duty military members and their families, nurses, attorneys, and many others facing a wide range of life challenges. Life's difficulties are a natural part of the human experience. At times, individuals may feel isolated in their struggles or believe that no one truly understands what they are going through. These thoughts can contribute to anxiety, depression, substance use, and other challenges that impact relationships, work, and overall quality of life. When left unaddressed, these difficulties can become overwhelming and interfere with one's ability to move forward. I believe that meaningful change is possible through a compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based therapeutic approach. My goal is to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients can gain insight, build effective coping skills, strengthen resilience, and develop healthier ways of managing life's challenges. Together, we can work toward healing, personal wellness, and lasting positive change. In addition to my Psychological Therapy license, I hold specialties certifications in Drug and Alcohol addiction, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Sex Addiction, Trauma and Domestic Violence prevention.

I am passionate about the impact of spirituality in mental health therapy. As an attachment informed humanist LPCC, I consider the bio-psycho-social-spiritual/existential condition of the folks with whom I work. Healing is a matter of integrating the disparate and fragmented parts of life. Empathy, acceptance, positive regard, and genuineness are crucial elements for effective therapy and these are the characteristics I seek to cultivate in my practice. As far as a specific toolkit, CBT and Motivational Interviewing are the primary evidence based methodologies I employ to be with people in their self-paced, goal oriented healing efforts. Those who want to examine the angst, anxiety, disquiet, and friction in their lives will find a fellow traveler in me.

My name is Diana Tavares. I am a patient and empathic Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I am passionate about creating a sacred and safe space during the therapeutic process for you to feel confident in your ability to create positive changes in your life. I believe that everyone is deserving of a loving relationship with themselves, the world, and those around them. In our work together, my hope is that we create a new toolbox of coping mechanisms and break personal and generational patterns that no longer serve to enhance the quality of your life and for you to live more aligned and at peace.
