The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Compassionate, service-centered therapy helping clients overcome stigma and seek support.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with teenagers ages 13–17, adults, and older adults ages 65 and above who are seeking individual therapy and want practical support for navigating anxiety, depression, and life stress. Many of the clients I serve are feeling overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful thought patterns, or struggling to cope in ways that feel effective and sustainable. I also support clients working through anger, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and relationship, family, or peer-related challenges. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building healthier coping strategies for daily life. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and focused on meaningful change that can be applied outside of session.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my work with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and how these patterns can impact daily life. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking loops, emotional triggers, and coping habits that may be keeping you stuck. I’ll teach practical, evidence-based tools to challenge negative thoughts, shift behaviors, and build healthier coping strategies. Sessions are collaborative and paced to fit your comfort level, with a focus on real-life application between sessions so you can notice meaningful change over time.

Faith based therapy

For clients who desire to incorporate faith into therapy, I offer a supportive space to explore spirituality, personal beliefs, and emotional wellness as part of the healing process. Together, we may explore how your faith shapes your identity, values, relationships, coping, and sense of purpose. When desired, I can integrate scripture reflection, spiritual encouragement, and values-based conversations alongside evidence-based therapeutic approaches. My goal is to honor your beliefs while helping you process life challenges, strengthen emotional wellness, and move toward healing in a way that feels meaningful and aligned with your faith.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In my work with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I help clients build a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than feeling controlled by them. Together, we explore what matters most to you, identify patterns of avoidance or feeling stuck, and practice skills that support emotional flexibility. I use ACT to help clients notice painful thoughts without judgment, stay grounded in the present moment, and take meaningful steps toward the life they want to build. Sessions are collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping you make choices that align with your values, even when life feels uncertain, stressful, or emotionally challenging.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I understand that each client brings their own unique background, identity, values, and lived experiences into the therapy space. Through a culturally sensitive approach, I strive to create a respectful and affirming environment where clients can explore how culture, family expectations, community influences, and personal experiences shape their mental health and healing. My goal is to honor each client’s perspective while offering collaborative, nonjudgmental support that feels relevant, meaningful, and aligned with their needs.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Through mindfulness-based therapy, I support clients in developing a healthier relationship with their thoughts and emotions by learning to observe them with curiosity rather than criticism. Sessions may include grounding skills, breathing practices, body awareness, and reflection on how mindfulness can be applied in everyday situations. My approach is gentle, practical, and collaborative, helping clients strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and feel more present in their lives.
