I’m a warm, curious, and practical Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a background in molecular biology and research. I approach therapy with an appreciation for the complexity of people and the systems in which we live. I strive to create a genuine, safe, and nonjudgmental space where you can take off the mask, speak honestly, and explore what is really happening.

First session

Our first session is a chance for me to learn about what brings you to therapy and the experiences that have shaped your current concerns. I'll ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully, and work to understand your strengths, challenges, and goals. My aim is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood as we begin exploring what you would like to gain from therapy.

Strengths

I bring warmth, curiosity, humor, and thoughtful challenge to my work. I strive to create a space where you can feel heard and understood while also exploring new perspectives. Together, we'll make sense of your experiences, notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and gently question assumptions when it feels helpful. I believe our emotions carry valuable information, but they don't have to define us or dictate our choices. My hope is to help you find greater clarity, flexibility, and confidence in how you navigate life's challenges.

Ideal clients

My ideal clients are thoughtful, capable people who may be used to handling things on their own. They may look like they have it together while carrying thoughts, feelings, or struggles they rarely say out loud. They’re looking for a space where they can take off the mask, be honest, and feel genuinely understood with warmth, curiosity, humor, and thoughtful challenge.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I draw on CBT to help you notice connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In treatment, we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and experiment with more flexible ways of thinking and responding.

Strength-Based

I use a strengths-based approach to build on the abilities, resources, and resilience you already have. We’ll identify what is working, build on existing strengths, and develop skills that support greater confidence and meaningful change.

Narrative

I use Narrative Therapy to explore the stories and beliefs you’ve developed about yourself and your life. Together, we’ll examine patterns and perspectives that may be limiting you and make space for ways of seeing yourself that better reflect your values, strengths, and goals.

Trauma Informed Care

I use a trauma-informed approach to help you understand how difficult experiences may continue to influence your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and responses. Treatment emphasizes safety, pacing, awareness, and developing practical ways to feel more grounded and in control.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use SFBT to keep therapy focused on what you want to change and the steps that can move you toward it. We’ll identify what’s already working, build on your resources, and develop practical strategies that fit your life and goals.
