am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience providing trauma-informed, evidence-based mental health services to diverse and underserved populations. I have worked across community mental health, correctional settings, unaccompanied children shelters, and medical environments, supporting clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, and crisis-related concerns.
My clinical approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT, and I integrate these models to help clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and improve emotional regulation. Growing up I was challenged with depression and anxiety along with familial dysfunction. When I heard about psychology in sixth grade, I decided I wanted to be a psychologist. After starting a family and enduring an abusive marriage I went back to school to become a mental health therapist. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and challenging others to open their minds to a different way of thinking. Working with individuals as well as parents and couples is rewarding and fostering change for healthier relationships is truly beautiful.

My approach blends humanistic, insight-oriented, and experiential therapies, including talk therapy, drama therapy, play, and expressive arts. I create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can slow down, reflect, and explore who they truly are.
I work with immigrants, BIPOC individuals, and anyone navigating identity, transition, cultural stress, or existential anxiety as well as people seeking deeper self-understanding and meaningful growth. Many of my clients come looking for ways to process difficult experiences, explore relationships creatively, or develop resilience in the face of challenges. My approach is deeply shaped by my own experiences growing up in Cambodia. As my parents taught me and my siblings: “It is not the world of survival of the fittest, but the world where you always need to be a little kinder than necessary.” Like many Cambodian families, ours lived through the aftermath of the Khmer Rouge, facing loss, suffering, and hardship. Yet my parents always found ways to give, even when resources were scarce. Their example of kindness and generosity became a core teaching in my life, and it now guides my work as a therapist.
Practicing kindness, compassion ,deep listening, presence, cultural humility, and sensitivity is central to how I support clients. I believe most of us are doing the best we can, and when we cannot see that in ourselves or others, life becomes more difficult. Therapy becomes a place where people can engage with themselves fully, let go of self-judgment, and cultivate self-compassion.

With experience in hospitals, criminal justice settings, and outpatient clinics, I’ve supported people through some of the hardest chapters of their lives. Those experiences shaped the therapist I am today—one who listens deeply, meets you where you are, and walks beside you as you rebuild, heal, and move forward with confidence.

Hello,
If you’re on this website I want to applaud you for your bravery and courage to seek services.
I believe our earliest relationships shape how we understand ourselves, connect with others, and cope with emotional challenges.
In therapy, I help clients explore how early relational experiences influence present-day patterns in relationships, self-worth, and emotional regulation. Rather than focusing on “what’s wrong,” we work to understand what once helped you adapt and how those strategies may no longer be serving you.
I take a relational, attachment-informed approach, using the therapeutic relationship as a safe, supportive space to build insight, foster emotional growth, and create meaningful, lasting change.
