Hello all! I really enjoy meeting people where they are in their life journey and using a nonjudgmental approach to help them get out of life what they want. My last position was working for the last few years with high risk foster youth that struggled with extreme behaviors. Currently I work with prenatal and postpartum mothers experiencing housing insecurity. In my personal life I am a wife and mother to two beautiful girls. I live in Santa Cruz and love being on the beach and taking my girls on adventures.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Use the first session to take a deep breath and share some of the burden life has had on you. We’ll focus on simply getting to know you and your story that led you to this point.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my super powers is being non judgmental and seeing the possibility for change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I would love to work with anyone that’s feeling held back by symptoms of anxiety, depression, or PTSD. Someone that’s ready to question how their trauma impacted their lives or is just wanting to take back control.

My treatment methods

Psychoeducation

Often understanding why we do the things we do can help a person take back control and then have the freedom to decide what they want to do about it.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I have a strong background in understanding trauma and the impact it can have on our thoughts and impulses. Understanding how thoughts have been influenced by trauma then helps you untangle what is you and what is the trauma you’ve experienced.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a big cornerstone of the work I do and will always show up at times. The triad of our thoughts emotions and behaviors exists in all of this. Challenging one’s thoughts and beliefs will lead to new emotions and behaviors.

Narrative

Narrative therapy I find to be such an exciting approach. I always apply the principle of externalizing problems by making the problem the problem and not the person.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT skills can be really helpful especially for those who have experienced trauma or have attributes of personality disorders.
