Hello! I'm Nicole, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I hold a Bachelors in Psychology and graduated with my Masters Degree in Social Work from California State University Long Beach in 2007. I have worked with a wide range of people and believe that when we work to improve self-awareness combined with a willingness to grow, we will achieve greater happiness in life.
In our first session we will focus on brief introductions, what brings you to therapy and what you are hoping to achieve in our work together. We will discuss treatment goals, goodness of fit and address any scheduling questions you may have.
My strengths include my genuine interest, positive regard and empathy toward others. I believe we hold so much potential for growth to make positive and lasting change.
I work with adults who are looking to make positive change in their lives. The day to day stressors can sometimes feel overwhelming. I offer a safe space to be able to identify stressors, seek to understand behavior patterns and potential maladaptive ways of thinking. Together we can shift the focus to identify strengths and foster healthy coping skills.
We will work to identify, challenge and replace negative thoughts and behaviors, encourage self awareness and promote a greater understanding of how thoughts, feelings and behaviors interconnect.
With my social work background, one of my core values draws from a strengths based perspective. I believe people have endless potential and will focus on my clients journey toward growth, positive change and self-determination.
