Hello, my name is Nicole and welcome to my page! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist. I am looking to work with individuals ready to create meaningful change, seek greater self understanding and improve their overall well-being. I offer a supportive and nonjudgmental space that encourages collaboration and self growth. My approach is client-centered, blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, while combining mindfulness where we work to observe thoughts, reduce stress and enhance emotional regulation skills. Together we will uncover practical tools for lasting change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session we will focus on introductions, what brings you to therapy and what you are hoping to gain. We will discuss goodness of fit and address any scheduling questions you may have. Based on needs, there are times when a client may be better suited for a therapist with expertise in various areas. When applicable I am happy to assist with a referral to an alternate provider.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My strengths include my genuine interest, positive regard and empathy toward others. I believe we hold so much potential for growth to make positive and lasting change. I encourage client led therapy with a focus on open communication, collaboration and utilize a person-centered approach.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal client is someone who is looking to make positive changes in their lives. I work best with someone who is motivated, self aware, engaged and invested in growth. I appreciate when effort is made to be consistent and present as well as open minded and flexible.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
We will work to identify, challenge and replace negative thoughts and behaviors, encourage self awareness and promote a greater understanding of how thoughts, feelings and behaviors interconnect.
Strength-Based
With my social work background, one of my core values draws from a strengths based perspective. I believe people have endless potential and will focus on my clients journey toward growth, positive change and self-determination.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Pausing to recognize thoughts, feelings and sensations and using techniques to relax your mind and body, reduce stress and maintain presence and calm.
