Hi, I'm Britta Neinast, a licensed clinical social worker. I have years of professional and personal experience understanding anxiety and mental health struggles. Many of us are crippled with anxiety and self-doubt. Despite messages and advice, we still feel misunderstood and alone. I believe we are looking at the problem of anxiety incorrectly. The conventional wisdom is learning how to “cope" and fight your tension. This gives the impression there is something wrong with you. I believe we are looking at it wrong. Anxiety is your friend and has a purpose. When you listen more to why it is happening, it will make sense.

Hey there. I'm Dennis aka Denny Bartsch. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in the field for over 15 years. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, and Strength Based techniques in my practice. I'm a goofy social worker who likes to use a non-confrontational approach to working with my clients. I do believe that you know your story/life better than I ever will so I believe in what you have to say. One thing that makes me pretty different from other service providers is that I saw a need for session times available for clients later in the day and evening so I decided to have my scheduled be from Monday through Friday's from 12:30pm EST to 9pm EST. I hope to accommodate more people this way. I like to use humor and positive support for my client's as we go on this journey together to helping you achieve the goals we identify in session together. My goal is to work towards you having the skills, support, and confidence you need to be successful. I like to think outside of the box when I work with my client's so you just wait and see! Therapy doesn't need to be scary. Let's work together and maybe laugh through some of it. We got this! Together!

You can call me Dan. From a young age I was interested in a career that focused on helping people. I smile when I think about it, but there was a time I thought a career in medicine was what I wanted but I am so bad at math that didn't work out very well. There was a time I thought I was being called into ministry as a pastor, and I wanted to be a pastor that could counsel, but circumstances didn't allow that to happen either. Maybe it's ironic and maybe it's not but I'm not really that much of a talker so I never dreamed that becoming a therapist would be my thing. But then again, therapy is a lot about listening and I do that really well. I enjoy helping others move from places of frustration, and sometimes despair to places of hope and healing. I have always been taught that people deserve respect and to be treated with dignity regardless of what their issue is or where they come from and that is a value I continue to hold. I also find it interesting that the three careers I pursued had their focus in the three things I still believe are important for a life of fulfillment, purpose, and contentment and those are physical health, spiritual health and mental health. I received a Masters of Divinity degree in 1991, a Masters in Social Work degree in 1996 and my License as a Clinical Social Worker in 1997. I went back to school in 2016 and obtained a MBA in Healthcare Management in 2017. My 30 year career in mental health has been split between providing clinical services, supervising others in their provision of clinical services and administration in the area of Healthcare Quality and Compliance.

Do you ever feel stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by stress and self-doubt? Well, I may be able to help with that. Hi, I’m Ciera, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about creating a space where people can feel safe to slow down, reflect, and be themselves. I believe healing happens when you feel understood, supported, and empowered to explore what’s been holding you back. Together, we’ll work on building resilience, finding clarity, and helping you reconnect with your strengths so you can create a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling. When I’m not in session, you can usually find me recharging with a good book, spending time with loved ones, or moving my body through exercise. Just like my clients, I know life can feel like “too much” at times but it can also be a place of growth, possibility, and meaning. My focus is to walk alongside you as you discover what that looks like for you.

When we have been through difficult things, oftentimes we feel misunderstood, unheard, unsafe and hopeless. I do not believe that trauma makes us stronger; rather, I believe that there is something beautiful within us that brings us through the trauma. Trauma processing allows us to let go of negative beliefs about ourselves and the world; beliefs such as “I am not safe,” or “I am unlovable.” These beliefs can make us feel stuck; like having a rich and full life is not possible. As your therapist, I will work to empower you to accept all parts of self, allowing for peace from within that will trickle into all facets of life. My training in both EMDR and attachment focused ego-state work allows me to be effective in treating complex trauma, as well as other mood disorders. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I am passionate about helping individuals find hope and healing by the process of therapy. I have a holistic approach to understanding my clients and seek to capitalize on their strengths and talents. I view therapy as a collaborative process. I welcome all parts of you to this space, including your Christian faith. My path to becoming a mental health provider has been deeply influenced by both my personal background and my professional experiences. Growing up, I was surrounded by the work of my mother, who was a social worker. I saw firsthand the impact she had on individuals and families, and it inspired me to pursue a similar career. I was always drawn to the idea of helping others navigate difficult circumstances and providing support during times of crisis or transition. Her work shaped my understanding of the value of compassion, empathy, and practical intervention in improving lives. As a licensed therapist, I specialize in helping individuals manage the emotional, psychological, and practical aspects of these life adjustments. I take a compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy, emphasizing empathy and understanding. My methods are tailored to each person’s unique experiences and challenges. Over time, we’ll work together to deepen your self-awareness, develop coping mechanisms, and create practical tools for managing the ups and downs of life. I provide a safe space where you can feel heard and supported as you explore your feelings and develop skills to move forward. I focus on helping you make meaningful shifts in how you think, feel, and act. If you’re ready to take the first step toward navigating life’s transitions with more ease and confidence, I’m here to help.

Hi there! I'm Ross (he/him), and I'm so happy you are making the steps to focus on your mental health. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should feel like a safe, affirming space where you can be your authentic self without judgement. Because of this I focus primarily on using affirmative therapy as my main modality. I specialize in working with young adults and adults, especially those in the LGBTQIA+ community, who may be navigating identity, relationships, anxiety, or life transitions. I also have experience with assisting those experiencing burnout whether from caregiving, work, or from other aspects of life! My approach is person-centered and strengths-based, which means I'll meet you where you are, honor your experiences, and support you in building the confidence and tools you need to thrive. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, identity development, relationships, or navigating life in general I'd be happy to support you and walk with you through that journey. I know it can be overwhelming to start therapy, but you don't have to go through this alone and I'd be honored to support you through those challenging times. Together, we'll focus on your strengths, explore what's meaningful to you, and help you move forward feeling more grounded, empowered, and understood.

Hi, I'm a regular gal, with adult kids & have been working in this field since 1990. I will never say I have 'seen it all', as I haven't. I have a pretty good sense of humor, along with a quiet side. Therapy is a place to look inward, to figure it out. I will walk along side of you as needed to do this.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Indiana rather than a city like Indianapolis?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Indiana. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Indiana from Fort Wayne to Evansville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Indiana.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
