I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I understand how easy it is to feel overwhelmed when you are balancing multiple responsibilities or trying to hold everything together on your own. My goal is to provide a space where you can slow down, feel supported, and begin to make sense of what you are experiencing. My approach to therapy is grounded, collaborative, and focused on helping you build practical tools you can use in your everyday life. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, while also centering the relationship we build in session. I believe that real change happens when you feel heard, understood, and safe enough to be honest about what you are going through. I work with individuals who may feel stuck, unsure of their next steps, or ready to make meaningful changes but do not know where to start. Together, we focus on increasing self-awareness, shifting unhelpful patterns, and building skills that support your overall well-being. You do not have to have everything figured out to begin therapy. Whether you are dealing with something specific or just know that something needs to change, I will meet you where you are and support you in moving forward in a way that feels realistic and aligned with your life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for our work together. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and able to share at your own pace. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to know exactly what to say. We will start by talking about what brings you to therapy and what you are hoping to get out of the experience. You can share as much or as little as you feel ready to. I may ask some questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and any patterns or stressors you have been dealing with. This helps me get a clearer picture of your needs and how I can best support you. We will also talk through your goals. If you are not sure what your goals are yet, that is completely okay. We can figure that out together over time. I may also share a bit about how I typically work and what approaches I use, so you know what to expect moving forward. This first session is also an opportunity for you to get a feel for me and decide if this feels like a good fit. You are encouraged to ask questions about the process, my style, or anything else that is important to you. By the end of the session, we will have a better understanding of what you are looking for and begin outlining next steps. My focus is to meet you where you are and help you move forward in a way that feels manageable, supportive, and aligned with your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a space where people feel comfortable being real. Clients often share that they feel at ease opening up, even when talking about things they have not said out loud before. I bring a calm, grounded presence while also being honest and direct when needed, helping clients feel both supported and challenged in a healthy way. I have strong experience working with individuals navigating complex systems, high expectations, and real-life stressors. This allows me to understand not just what someone is going through emotionally, but also the practical barriers they may be facing. I focus on helping clients move from insight into action by providing tools that are realistic and easy to apply in everyday life. I am also intentional about meeting clients where they are. I do not take a one size fits all approach. I listen closely, adjust my style based on what each person needs, and work at a pace that feels right for them. My goal is to help clients build clarity, confidence, and the ability to navigate challenges in a way that feels sustainable beyond our sessions.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who are navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, or relationship challenges. Many of the clients I work with are trying to find balance between their responsibilities and their personal well-being, and may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of their next steps. I support individuals who are looking to better understand themselves, improve how they cope with stress, and build healthier patterns in their daily lives and relationships. This can include working through past experiences, managing current challenges, or preparing for future changes. I enjoy working with clients who are open to the process, even if they are unsure where to start. You do not have to have everything figured out to begin therapy. My role is to meet you where you are, help you gain clarity, and support you in making changes that feel realistic and meaningful for your life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT as one of the main approaches in my practice to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. I have experience using this approach with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, and major life changes. In sessions, I work alongside clients to identify patterns in their thinking that may be unhelpful or keeping them stuck. From there, we focus on building more balanced ways of thinking and developing practical strategies they can use in everyday life. This often includes coping skills, problem solving, and learning how to respond differently to difficult situations. I tailor CBT to fit each person, making sure it aligns with their goals and what is realistically helpful for them outside of session.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I approach therapy with a strong awareness of how culture, identity, and lived experiences shape a person’s perspective and mental health. My work has included supporting individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and social backgrounds, and I understand the importance of creating a space where clients feel seen, respected, and understood. In practice, I take time to learn what matters most to each client, including their values, family dynamics, community influences, and any experiences with bias or systemic barriers. I am mindful of how these factors can impact stress, relationships, and access to support. I use this understanding to guide how I communicate, build trust, and tailor interventions so they are relevant and meaningful. My goal is to provide care that honors each person’s identity while helping them navigate challenges in a way that feels authentic and empowering to them.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing as a collaborative approach to help clients explore their readiness for change and strengthen their own motivation. My experience includes working with individuals who may feel stuck, unsure, or ambivalent about making changes in areas such as mental health, substance use, or life transitions. In sessions, I focus on creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. I use open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmations to help clients identify their own goals, values, and reasons for change. Rather than directing, I guide clients in building confidence and recognizing their ability to take meaningful steps forward. I tailor this approach to each person, meeting them where they are and helping them move at a pace that feels realistic and sustainable.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use a person-centered approach as a foundation in my work, focusing on creating a space where clients feel safe, heard, and genuinely understood. My experience includes working with individuals navigating stress, life transitions, and emotional challenges, where building trust and connection is essential. In sessions, I lead with empathy, active listening, and a nonjudgmental presence. I believe clients are the experts of their own lives, so I support them in exploring their thoughts and feelings at their own pace. I focus on helping clients gain clarity, strengthen self-awareness, and build confidence in their ability to make decisions that align with who they are. I tailor this approach to each client, ensuring they feel respected and supported while also gently guiding them toward growth and meaningful change.
