About me

I am a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker who cares about the well-being of others and the community. In practice I work diligently to meet every client where they are. I ask questions to evoke thought and to get a good understanding of who you are and what you are struggling with. I am inviting, authentic, and see my time with my clients as both an honor and privilege. I am continually educating myself to better serve my clients.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session I will ask you to tell me what brings you to therapy. I will actively listen to you and ask questions to better understand how I can help you. We will agree on goals, and I will give you a good idea of what to expect in therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am trauma-informed. I am authentic and I genuinely care. I am a continuously educating myself, so I can be the best resource possible for my clients. I am interested in learning about my clients, giving them an open and safe space to share their struggle. I will offer feedback in a gentle and respectful way to give you things to consider or think about.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is willing to keep an open mind and is interested in self-improvement. My ideal client's problems can be complex. My ideal client will be their authentic self, and not worry too much about making their therapist proud. My ideal client will know these sessions are an opportunity for them to evolve, heal, and grow.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

One of the main tenants of ACT is flexibility in thought, accepting the self for who they are, and also seeing where one can adjust things to feel better.

Mind-body approach

I am a Registered Yoga Teacher, so if appropriate I will teach breathing exercises and other ways to relax the body to feel more balanced.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our thoughts are powerful. In talk therapy a lot of what is addressed is what comes in and out of the mind. I will provide education on our thoughts, how to inquire about them, and adjust them to be more realistic and/or helpful.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I offer Cognitive Processing Therapy for those struggling with intrusive thoughts due to symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It is a 12-session structured therapy with homework that will teach one skill to better address the thoughts that keep one in PTSD symptoms.

Trauma Informed Care

We all come from many walks of life with many experiences. In practice I work through a lense of assuming every client I interact with has experienced some level of trauma. I am compassionate and sensitive to that. My approach is gentle and I will not push a client to process or go to places they are not ready for.
