Hello and welcome! I'm Magda. Do you find that even after you've done all that you can think of to bring calm and quiet to your thoughts you still feel anxious and down? Do miss feeling unburdened from thoughts that cause you to judge yourself, and your choices? Do find yourself questioning your choices--even when you feel sure of yourself? Do you consistently find yourself in relationships that don't make you feel safe or loved? I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the District of Columbia. I have experience working with adults living with various forms of anxiety, depression and life changes. I help adult women and men who are managing life changes, transitions, and relationships. Changes often are accompanied by high levels of anxiety and can make it difficult to make sound decisions. It often helps to explore the feelings and thoughts that often cause depression and anxiety.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first meeting will be a low-key, "getting to know you" session. It's important that I get to know your needs, goals and expectations, and the reasons that brought you to therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, I feel that my openness and ability to understand the challenges that bring you therapy are my biggest strengths. I understand what it's like to open up to what is essentially a stranger and risk expressing what may be one your greatest challenges. I respect that this is a risk for many. Because of this, seeing all sides of any situation is important. Finding creative coping tools and learning techniques can be powerful in managing the challenges of mental health difficulties.

My treatment methods

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Each person's journey is unique, influenced by their cultural and identity-related experiences. I'm committed to providing a safe and supportive space for individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In our sessions, we'll use mindfulness techniques to bring greater clarity to your life. Being present can help you to better understand your thoughts, emotions and how they relate. We can work together to help you make conscious choices and manage stress and anxiety.

Supportive

I create a safe space for clients to openly explore their emotions and experiences and provide compassionate guidance to work through concerns.
