Hello and welcome. My name is Michaelle Desruisseaux and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in the State of Florida, Washington DC and Massachusetts. My goal as your therapist is to join forces with you to develop new strategies and skills to help you cope with life stressors. I have over 15 years experience working with teens, adults and elderly. I am passionate about working with people who struggle with Depression, Anxiety, Anger Management, Low Self Esteem/Self Image, and Grief.
In our first session we will do introductions and dive into the reason why you have decided to pursue counseling at this time. This will give me a better picture on how I can support you and create a customized plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

I enjoyed our first session.! She was easy to talk to while guiding my thought process. She encouraged me not to be so hard on myself about some occurrences in my life. I felt comfortable talking to her. I am looking forward to weekly conversations with her. I think I made a good choice with such a solution-oriented therapist.
