I primarily work with clients who find themselves at a crossroads in life, struggling with significant choices. Many of my clients deal with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma. What brings me the most fulfillment is witnessing them overcome the barriers and obstacles that life has placed before them. I thrive in working with clients who are ready for change and tired of feeling held back by their past limitations.
In our first session, we'll explore whether I'm a good fit for you as a therapist. One tool we'll use is a genogram, which is like a family tree that helps me understand the family system you grew up in and how it might be affecting your current struggles. I’ll ask many questions to get to know you better. By the end of the session, I’ll give you a small piece of homework to reflect on until our next meeting.
As a provider, my greatest strengths are my patience and my compassionate approach to therapy. Most of us don't choose to be dysfunctional. Dysfunction happens to us, often without us realizing it. That's why I approach therapy with kindness and understanding. I recognize that you are not the problem. Together, we’ll work to identify the true issues and develop tools to overcome the challenges you’re facing.
I've been a CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) therapist for five years. This therapeutic approach focuses on how we think about the challenges we've faced and will face in life. As a CBT therapist, I work with my clients to reframe their experiences and view life from a fresh perspective. Our perspectives often shape and limit our choices. In therapy, I ask thought-provoking questions to help clients delve deeper into their experiences. My ultimate goal is to guide them to a place where they can make choices that truly support their well-being
