Tara holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and an MSW in Clinical Social Work, blending deep academic knowledge with practical expertise. She’s trained in a powerful range of evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, PCIT, EMDR, and even yoga for children—offering a holistic and personalized approach to healing. Whether working through depression, anxiety, or behavioral health challenges, Tara meets her clients with empathy, insight, and culturally sensitive care. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with almost 20 years experience. I have taught college classes in psychology, which gives me a unique perspective in understand why we behave the way we behave. I love the brain and try explain some of our behaviors based on what I have learned about the mind and how it works. As a marriage and family therapist, I look at behaviors as a reflection of our past and present circumstances.

My specialties consist of relationships, men’s issues, career counseling, and psychosomatic illnesses. I received my Bachelors degree in Child Psychology, working initially with the adolescent population before transitioning over to adults. I then received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition to my dual state licensure in New York and Virginia, I am also a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) and certified in Divorce Mediation.
