As a therapist, I pride myself on being a well-rounded individual with a warm and welcoming personality. My journey into the world of mental health began with a deep-seated passion for helping others, which led me to train as both an addiction counselor and an EMDR therapist. I believe that everyone deserves a safe space to explore their thoughts and feelings, and I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable and supported. During the first session, my goal is for clients to leave with a clear understanding of their treatment game plan while feeling truly heard. I believe that feeling understood is crucial for effective therapy, and I make it a priority to listen actively and empathetically.
As a provider, my strengths lie in my comprehensive training in various therapeutic modalities, my use of humor to alleviate tension, and my ability to balance directness with kindness. I believe that therapy should be both a safe space for vulnerability and a place for growth and progress. My aim is to empower clients by providing them with the tools they need to overcome challenges while fostering a supportive and nurturing environment. My first session with Tara was fantastic!!!! She is a great listener, was very friendly and warm and she really gave me great things to think about! I also loved seeing her animals :) brought a smile to my face! So glad i chose Grow Therapy and found her :) im excited to continue to grow and learn new things about myself!!
