Welcome and Congratulations on the decision to take this next step toward a better you! Counseling is designed to be a unique setting where a person, family or couple is able to reflect on their experiences within a safe environment. When people are able to feel truly supported in therapy they work towards self-actualization and meaning. My general goal during therapy is to meet client’s where they are at while asking tough questions and challenging client’s existing mental conceptions. My overall approach is to be actively engaged with each client to promote healing, growth and recovery.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then we will discuss the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through in our follow-up sessions. I like to make this first session open, warm, comfortable, laid back, and personable to build trust in the relationship.
I utilize a variety of techniques tailored to each individual's needs. I believe that there is no one size fit all when it comes to therapy. My approach is rooted in brining awareness to the connections between thoughts, feelings, and actions. My aim is to help individual develop a deeper understanding of themselves at all levels, which can lead to improved self-management and self-awareness.
My biggest strengths is my ability to identify individual talents when working with clients and identifying problem solving abilities within. In addition, I believe in being honest when working with clients about why there is no progress in treatment and areas that are hindering any desire success.
I like to focus on clients that are going through past or current trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, stress management and Domestic Violence (past or current).

Diana Strain is a very authentic and warm therapists. From the start, she created a safe, welcoming space where I felt truly heard, understood, and supported. Her ability to create a safe, non-judgmental space made it easy to open up and do the deeper work. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking real, compassionate care.

I have been working with Diana for over two years. I was a person that thought therapy was a waste of time and never planned to do it. When I started I didn't think it would last long but I am over two years in and believe it is something every person should do. Diana is great to work with, she listens well, asks tough questions and is challenging in an effort to help you be better where you said you wanted to grow. If your looking for a great Therapist, then look no further.
