I am a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Florida and Licensed Professional Counselor via telehealth for clients in Arizona and Virginia. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Christian Counseling, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Reality Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, and more to empower clients to build resilience, develop and understanding of what they can do to cope effectively as they navigate this healing journey and achieve a sense of self-confidence and self-esteem. If you are ready to regain control of your thoughts and live a more present and fulfilled life then you have come to the right place.

To help you reach your goals, I use a two-fold approach by teaching you tools to help cope with everyday stressors and manage the intensity of emotions while exploring past experiences which have/are impacting the way you currently feel/behave. As a therapist, I strongly believe in exploring past hurts and experiences to help you better understand what led you to this point and assist in treating the root causes of the anxiety. I aim to keep sessions goal oriented and structured to assist individuals in meeting their goals.

I'm a Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with 19 years of clinical experience, 15 years licensed within private practice.
I consider myself to be bicultural. Having been raised as a first-generation American in a Latin family, I can identify with the mentality of someone living within two "worlds". Transitioning from one culture to another with seemingly different values, beliefs and language. I can easily understand the struggle that maintaining, and existing in both, can sometimes be. I've come to perceive and appreciate it as the gift of having a "bridge" that allows connection to, and understanding of, different aspects of people and life.
My education has a foundation in Clinical Psychology, woven with holistic transpersonal themes, the connection between mind, body, and spirit, and just plain down-to-earth common sense. Always keeping in mind the client's personal beliefs and values.
I am a licensed professional counselor in Virginia with over 10 years experience. I help mothers and new parents with managing the transitions, demands, and challenges of pregnancy and parenthood in order to show up in the best way for themselves and their loved ones. I also assist clients with understanding and processing stress related to cultural bias and racial trauma and incorporate practices that promote healing and empowerment.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a honorable combat military veteran. I’m nearing completion of my Doctor of Education in Community Care and Counseling with a specialization in Traumatology and have earned the following degrees: Master’s degree in Professional Counseling, Master’s degree in Human Services Counseling, and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations. I have a multitude of experience in community and clinic settings having engaged in therapeutic day treatment, intensive in-home, parenting aid, mentoring, crisis intervention, crisis stabilization, and outpatient therapy services along with substance abuse counseling. My counseling philosophy focuses attention on your present and future. I focus on goal-oriented questioning to assist you in moving into a future-oriented direction to help reduce negative thinking and behaviors, increase motivation and resiliency, and become a healthier and happier human being. I take a holistic approach to counseling to help you with a healthy integration of the mind, body, and spirit. I have a unique multicultural approach to therapy due to my extensive travels around the world living in different cultures and understanding dynamic human experiences from various perspectives. I'm especially understanding and culturally sensitive to East Asian cultures. I'm very appreciative of East Asian cultures, beliefs and philosophies having lived in several East Asian countries. Many of my client’s successful therapy outcomes have been attributed to my dynamic and unique life experiences. I provide genuine warmth, honesty, empathy, support, and care to my clients. I’m known as a “skill-builder” and have a strong passion to motivate you and build resilience in your life. I look forward to working with you.

Mental illness is as real as any physical illness. We talk normally about cancer and diabetes, although the same should apply to mental illness. Emotional and mental health are just as important as the physical health of a human being. The emotional trauma that a brain endures in various of the human life cycle can be damaging and in the long run, just as detrimental as a psychical illness.
People donate their organs, but they cannot donate their brains. Some people live with human-made hearts, but there is no such thing as human-made brains. I believe that our brain is the most important organ in our human body, so why don’t we start taking good care of it?
Therapy is not only for people with mental illness. Therapy is for everyone. We all have faced or currently face some hardships in life. Talking to a therapist can help you deeply in improving your mental health, decrease your stress and live with more joy and intention! Make your appointment today!

I enjoy working with people to help them build a strong sense of self, encourage their confidence in relationships, and help foster a sense of calm and security in their everyday life. I enjoy helping parents navigate the many challenges that come our way. I believe people seek therapy for many reasons: adjustment to a new city or life situation, feeling overwhelmed or stuck, or problems with relationships. Counseling is a process that most of us could benefit from time to time at different stages in life, as it brings an outsider's perspective to events, we are faced with in day-to-day life in a nonjudgmental way.
I've been working in mental health for 15 years, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in
Virginia, Ohio, and Georgia. Most of what I do centers around anxiety, ADHD, autism, trauma, and
PTSD — but I work with people dealing with a lot of different things, and I'm not going to tell
you your situation doesn't qualify. I see kids, teens, adults, couples, and families, so if you're
looking for someone who can work with your family across different ages, that's something I
can do.
I'm a Certified Trauma Specialist and trained in integrative mental health, which means I bring
more tools to the table than just talk therapy. I'm neurodivergence-affirming and work with
people across a wide range of identities and communities, including LGBTQ+ individuals and
single parents. A lot of my clients have been carrying something for a long time before they
finally reach out — that's more common than you'd think, and it's never too late to start.
Life is full of surprises, some pleasant and some not so pleasant. It is in these moments that a little guidance can go along way. Let me be there for you during your challenging moments to help you navigate through them and emerge victoriously. I am a licensed professional counselor with five years of experience including Residency.
Though I use an eclectic approach, the interventions I most commonly use are Cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical behavior therapy. One size does not fit all so understanding my clients and applying client specific intervention is very important to me. I am also clinical trauma specialist, trained in Internal family systems and EMDR. I am a firm believer of an individual's spirituality playing a significant role in their healing process. I provide Christian counseling to my clients who need it.
Hi, I am Nephetia and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience providing support to individuals navigating changes and challenges in life. I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2000 and a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2012.
I am a compassionate and affirming therapist who strives to provide a safe and judgement-free space for clients to express themselves and utilize their strengths to achieve their goals. Decreasing negative symptoms and helping each client live healthier fulfilling lives is the ultimate goal. With me you are celebrated and encouraged to be your authentic self. Some of my strongest qualities are building strong therapeutic rapport, creating a safe place to be authentic and being empathetic.
My theoretic approach is based on the belief that clients are in charge of their counseling experience so that the process is individualized. I use an integrative therapeutic approach primarily including CBT, Person Centered, Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance an Commitment Therapy. I enjoy being able to help others reach their goals and feel more emotional stability overall. I have experience assisting and supporting clients overcome and cope with depression, anxiety, grief, issues specific to women, low self-esteem and body image.
I am an AK amputee, a person with a disability, a disabled person, a one-legged person, or as medical folks will say a person with a "residual limb" (I have never heard an amputee call their stump a residual limb). If you have been looking for a therapist and you see the photo they choose to put on their page, how many put their disability in their photo? That choice says something. I am also a psychotherapist with 50 years experience of providing therapy to adolescents, adults, and families. My identity shifted 10 years ago when my right leg was amputated above the knee (AK). The identity as a disabled person is not a sought after identity. In many ways being disabled sucks big time. Providing telehealth services would be one way for me to "hide" my disability. Just never point the camera toward my leg. I don't like my experience of me just walking into a room and my leg has already introduced me long before I say my name. I am looking for clients that are disabled in some way and want to work on not letting that "disability label " suck your lifeblood away.
Welcome! Seeking therapy can be intimidating, but you're making the right decision. Having personally navigated the challenges of mental health stigma, I'm acutely attuned to the diverse cultural backgrounds that shape individuals' experiences. This insight fuels my passion for breaking down barriers and fostering a safe, inclusive environment for everyone. I firmly believe that a strong therapeutic alliance is built upon feeling comfortable and understood, and I am dedicated to being that source of support for my clients. I'm committed to guiding you toward a more meaningful life, harnessing the incredible power of resilience and personal growth.

As a neurodivergent Black woman living with a chronic illness and mother of three adult children, two of whom identify with the LGBTQ+ commmunity, I am always interested in the deeper question people carry about their lives. Many of the individuals I work with are thoughtful, capable people who have spent years showing up for others, meeting expectations, and doing what seemed like the responsible thing to do. At some point, though, many begin to notice a quiet sense that something no longer fits.
My work centers around helping people slow down enough to understand what is actually happening beneath that feeling. Together we look at the patterns, experiences, and internal narratives that shape how you see yourself and the choices available to you. From that place, people often begin to rediscover a clearer sense of who they are and what direction their lives might take moving forward.
I am especially drawn to working with adults navigating identity shifts, relationship transitions, and moments in life where the path forward is no longer obvious.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in California, Texas, and Virginia. I have over a decade of experience working with a diverse population of individuals. I have worked in community mental health, public schools, corrections facilities, hospitals, and as an EAP provider. I am most passionate about working with the younger generation as I feel like that is where the most change and progress can be made. I would love to be a positive influence on the next generation. As a second-generation Iranian American, I understand the feeling of being caught between cultures. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow. My approach is warm, empathic, and solution-focused.
Some of our most joyful moments in life are also fraught with the discomfort that change can bring. Being a teen in today's world, becoming a young adult, parenting through the struggles, dealing with unexpected changes, living though a pandemic; so many things we experience that can bring on confusion, discomfort, and even feelings of hopelessness or helplessness. Sometimes the changes and challenges become overwhelming and you might find yourself thinking “How do I find my way forward?"
I’m no stranger to discomfort and pain, I’ve walked in those shoes throughout my life. Combining my life experiences and training while working with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings from inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, and outpatient treatment, I am here to help guide you on a new path towards the life you desire most.
My counseling style is compassionate, supportive, and client-centered. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered. Through collaboration, I help clients explore challenges, identify strengths, develop effective coping skills, and build practical strategies to achieve their goals, enhance emotional well-being, and improve overall quality of life. Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and strength-based interventions, I help clients increase confidence in their ability to manage stress, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns. My goal is to empower clients to make meaningful changes, achieve personal goals, and enhance their overall emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being while fostering lasting growth and resilience.
