About me

Life can be challenging, and you don't have to navigate it alone. I work with adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or simply ready to make meaningful changes in their lives. Whether you're coping with stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, or emotional struggles, I provide a supportive, collaborative environment where we can work together toward your goals. My approach is warm, genuine, and practical. Therapy should help you better understand yourself while giving you tools and strategies you can begin using in your everyday life. Together, we'll build on your strengths, work through obstacles, and create lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you've never worked with a therapist before. My goal is to make your first session feel comfortable, conversational, and focused on understanding what brings you to therapy. We'll spend time getting to know one another as I learn about your concerns, your experiences, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I'll ask questions to understand your story better, but there is no pressure to share everything at once. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we'll begin identifying your goals and discuss what therapy may look like moving forward. Before the session ends, we'll talk about next steps and develop a plan that feels realistic and meaningful for you. I want you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, hopeful, and with a clearer sense of where we're headed together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Therapy is most effective when you feel both supported and challenged. My style is warm, collaborative, and engaged. I won't simply sit back and listen—I actively participate by asking thoughtful questions, helping you recognize patterns, explaining why those patterns occur, and teaching practical skills you can continue using long after our sessions. I believe understanding the "why" behind your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors can make change feel less overwhelming. When you understand what's happening, you're better equipped to respond differently and make choices that align with the life you want to create. Clients often tell me they appreciate that therapy feels like a conversation rather than an interview. I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself while also encouraging growth, accountability, and meaningful change. Rather than focusing only on what's wrong, we'll also identify your strengths and build on them throughout the therapeutic process. My goal is for you to leave each session with greater clarity, increased confidence, and practical tools you can apply in your everyday life. I want therapy to feel like an investment in yourself—one where each session provides value and moves you one step closer to the life you want to build.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults who are ready to understand themselves better and create meaningful, lasting change. They may be experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, caregiver stress, or difficulty balancing the many demands of work, family, and everyday life. Some are seeking therapy for the first time, while others are returning because they're ready for a different approach. They don't expect to have all the answers—they're simply looking for a supportive therapist who will help them gain insight, develop practical skills, and move forward with greater confidence. They are open to self-reflection, willing to learn, and motivated to make positive changes at a pace that feels right for them.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Together, we'll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and replace them with healthier, more balanced ways of thinking. I believe therapy should be practical, so you'll leave sessions with strategies you can use in everyday life—not just insight into why you're struggling.

Interpersonal

Our relationships have a powerful impact on how we feel. I use an interpersonal approach to help you improve communication, navigate conflict, adjust to life changes, and build healthier relationships. Whether you're struggling with family, friendships, work, or a significant life transition, we'll work together to strengthen the connections that matter most while helping you feel more confident expressing your needs.

Positive Psychology

While it's important to work through challenges, it's also important to recognize your strengths. I use Positive Psychology to help you identify what's already working, build on your resilience, and reconnect with the qualities that have helped you overcome difficult times in the past. Together, we'll focus on creating a life that feels meaningful—not just reducing symptoms

Psychoeducation

Sometimes the biggest relief comes from simply understanding what's happening. I believe that when you understand how stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or life experiences affect your mind and body, change becomes less overwhelming. Throughout therapy, I'll explain what you're experiencing in a way that's easy to understand while teaching practical skills you can use outside of our sessions.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Sometimes you don't need to spend months talking about the problem—you need help figuring out the next step. I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help you identify your goals, recognize what's already working, and build on your existing strengths. Together, we'll focus on realistic solutions that help you move forward with confidence while making meaningful progress one step at a time.
