New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes that meaningful change happens when people feel safe, understood, and genuinely accepted. I work with children and families, and I bring creativity, humor, and a down-to-earth approach into every session. Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating sometimes it looks like play, laughter, art supplies on the floor, or learning new ways to connect in the middle of everyday chaos. I meet clients exactly where they are, not where anyone thinks they “should” be. Every child and every family is different, so I tailor my approach to fit their strengths, challenges, and goals. I’m especially I take a child-centered, relationship-first approach to therapy. I believe real growth happens when children feel safe, understood, and accepted not judged or “fixed.” I meet each child and family exactly where they are, adjusting expectations to fit their developmental and emotional needs while building on their unique strengths. My work is neurodiversity- If you’re looking for a therapist who gets your child’s unique needs and knows that change doesn’t have to be boring or stressful, you’re in the right place! I love helping kids and families find their groove through creative, play-filled sessions that make therapy feel more like fun than work. Together, we’ll come up with real, workable solutions that fit.
In the first session, clients can expect a relaxed, welcoming space where they can show up just as they are. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, talking a bit about what brought them to therapy, and exploring what they would like to get out of our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything at once this is more about starting to build comfort and trust at a pace that feels right. I also go over some basic information about the therapy process and answer any questions, so clients leave with a clear sense of what working together will look like moving forward.
My greatest strengths as a therapist include being down to earth, approachable, and able to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment. I bring humor into the room when appropriate, which can help ease tension and make the therapeutic process feel more natural and human. I am deeply loyal and dedicated to my clients, and I take pride in meeting each person where they are rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. I believe every client is unique, so I work intentionally to tailor treatment to fit their individual needs, strengths, and goals. I also enjoy bringing in creative and engaging ideas to sessions, helping therapy feel meaningful, practical, and even enjoyable at times while still staying focused on real growth and progress.
I enjoy working with clients who are looking for a safe, supportive space where they can feel heard, understood, and respected while also being ready to engage in meaningful personal work. I value clients who are open to the idea that therapy can be both a place of comfort and a place of effort, where growth happens through curiosity, reflection, and a commitment to change, all at a pace that feels manageable and right for them. I am especially drawn to working with neurodivergent individuals across the lifespan, as I deeply appreciate the diverse, creative, and unique ways people experience and move through the world. My goal is to help each client feel accepted as they are while supporting them in building skills, confidence, and self-understanding in a way that honors their individuality.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is one of my favorite approaches to use because it helps people understand how their thoughts can affect their emotions and behaviors in everyday life. I like using CBT because it gives clients real tools and coping skills they can actually use outside of therapy, not just during sessions. It’s a practical and supportive approach that helps people feel more in control of their emotions, reactions, and overall mental health.
Play Therapy
I also use therapeutic play techniques in sessions because play can help children and adolescents express emotions, build trust, and practice important coping skills in a way that feels natural and comfortable to them. Therapeutic games and activities can help improve communication, emotion regulation, problem-solving, and social skills while still keeping clients engaged in the therapy process. I enjoy incorporating these techniques because they help create a supportive environment where clients can learn and grow without feeling overwhelmed by traditional “talk therapy.”
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I also use a person-centered approach because I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, supported, and truly heard without judgment. This approach focuses on building a strong therapeutic relationship where clients can openly explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace. I use person-centered therapy to help clients build confidence, self-awareness, and trust in themselves while working toward meaningful personal growth.
