Hi, I’m Josh Burke, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy across, Colorado, New York and Vermont. I’ve spent over 12 years working with individuals navigating a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and major life transitions. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable. Because of that, I place a strong emphasis on building a genuine, trusting relationship from the start—one where you feel supported, understood, and able to be honest about what you’re going through. My approach is both relational and goal-oriented. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), which means we won’t just talk about what’s wrong—we’ll also focus on what matters to you and how to move toward it in practical, meaningful ways. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or navigating a significant transition, our work will center on helping you better understand your experience, develop new ways of responding to stress, and take steps toward the life you want to live. I tailor therapy to each person, recognizing that no two paths forward look the same. I believe change is possible—even when things feel difficult—and I aim to walk alongside you in a way that feels collaborative, grounded, and forward-moving.

Are you feeling stuck, telling yourself that you are going to change, but somehow ending up doing exactly what you promised yourself you wouldn’t do? Do you convince yourself that you are going to move forward and then find that anxiety, hopelessness, harsh self-judgments, or a bad temper take control and push you backwards? Do you find yourself in relationship patterns that leave you feeling cut off from those you long to be close too? If this sounds familiar, you don't have to face this alone. There are reasons you feel this way, and you can discover what those reasons are and how you can change to live a more fulfilling life. You may feel stuck because the way you are trying to solve your problems is by going back to the same strategies that got you stuck in the first place. It can be confusing seeing yourself stuck in thoughts and behaviors you know don’t work. Often this is because in the moment those strategies appear to be the only sensible choice, even when they aren’t. If you choose to work with me, together we can explore the ins and outs of that confusion so that you can find your way out of it. Because that can often feel threatening and disorienting, I will be patient and give you the space and safety needed to do this work at your own pace. Be that fast or slow or in-between. I look forward to working with you.

**Namaste, my name is Ashwini Gupta.** I am a Therapist and Intuitive Life Coach with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals in navigating life’s challenges and reconnecting with their deeper sense of purpose. My work integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Vedanta philosophy, mindfulness-based practices, and Shamanic healing traditions to help clients live more meaningful, aligned, and fulfilling lives. I am passionate about empowering individuals to reconnect with their true essence—the soul’s identity—and to move through life with clarity, resilience, and authenticity. My Approach Using ACT as my primary therapeutic framework, I provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where we can explore challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. ACT combines mindfulness, acceptance, and behavior change strategies to cultivate psychological flexibility, helping you respond to life’s difficulties with awareness while staying aligned with your core values. I also integrate Vedanta, which encourages deep inquiry into the nature of the self and existence, alongside Shamanic practices that bring a spiritual and energetic dimension to healing. Through guided journeys, energy awareness, and intuitive exploration, this work supports emotional release, clarity, and transformation at a deeper level. What is ACT? ACT is a behavioral therapy focused on values-guided action. It invites reflection on essential questions: What do you stand for? What truly matters? What legacy do you wish to create? It helps you connect with your inner compass and take meaningful action, even in the presence of uncertainty. What is Vedanta? Vedanta is an ancient philosophy that teaches the oneness of existence and the inherent divinity of the soul. Healing, in this context, is a process of remembering your true nature beyond conditioning and limitation. *Note: Shamanic healing and Intuitive Life Coaching services are not covered by insurance panels.*

As adults, we are responsible for resolving the traumas that have happened to us, to pick up the pieces and put ourselves back together, not because we are to blame for our experiences, but because we are the only ones who CAN change them. That can feel unfair, and it is, there is no doubt about that. On the flipside it can also be empowering- you are the catalyst for personal change, you can always take a turn or step in a different direction, you can always act differently, feel differently, and (with the right tools and assistance) start the healing process. I am here to help you with this noble, and sometimes difficult work. As a mental health professional, I am passionate about helping others feel more whole, hopeful and effective by developing deeper self-knowledge, self-respect, compassion, resilience and further developing our coping skills to take on the challenged life throws your way. I am a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief to assist clients in reducing distressing thoughts and emotions. Drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I collaborate with my clients to identify and challenge negative thought patterns contributing to their symptoms. Through a combination of cognitive restructuring, emotion regulation techniques, and mindfulness practices, I help my clients develop healthier coping mechanisms and increase resilience in the face of life's challenges.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by state rather than a city?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across the entire state. If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near your address.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What happens during the first therapy session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
