Welcome! I'm an LCSW-BACS and Louisiana native who practices in both, Texas & Louisiana. I’ve worked with a variety of clinical presentations, in various clinical settings. I have experience working with children, youth, adults, veterans and families. The settings in which I’ve practiced include intense inpatient, clinic, substance use disorder treatment, mental health rehabilitation, correctional rehabilitation facility and school settings. I'm EMDR trained and a recently Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I collaboratively assist clients with improving their self-esteem and self-worth, processing trauma, managing depression and anxiety, challenging negative thought processes, emotion dysregulation, and processing symptoms of grief and mood disorders. This is a collaborative therapeutic process that allows fostering healthy intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships, resolving symptoms of grief and trauma, modifying negative internal narratives, managing anxiety and depression, decreasing emotion dysregulation and dissociating, and fostering one's sense of self. I've worked with adults, families and adolescents who experienced anxiety, depression, family transitions, trauma wounds, anxiety, low self-esteem, PTSD, LGTBQIA transitions, substance use, bipolar mood disorders, personality disorders and several other life challenges etc. I have been so honored to be present throughout my client's journeys of growth, if only to help unburden them from internal suffering. I strive to be both non-judgmental, and collaborative, while challenging those that fear based responses to the environment.

Hi there, I'm Tonya. Do you feel like you need someone to talk to but feel like no one understands you? Carl Rogers said, “We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. I am committed to creating a space where the client feels seen and heard. I have a unique counseling style that allows clients to quickly engage in the therapeutic process. Helping clients find a deeper understanding of themselves is my focus. I guide the client through their journey of self-awareness with cognitive restructuring combined with a person-centered approach. Do you feel overwhelmed and mentally depleted? Our thoughts, emotions, and behavior are guided by our internal compass. Sometimes we need to check our compass and make sure we are going in the right direction. This internal compass is the lens through which we see ourselves, and the world and influences our decisions. A shift in the thought process opens the door for healing and clarity of thought. I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can gain the self-awareness you need to work through your struggles and move forward with your life. Let's work together!

Hello, I am an LCSW and have been in practice for 30+ years. I have worked in multiple settings and have learned that no one goes through life without challenges. Sometimes those challenges become overwhelming, and we find ourselves full of anger, fear, anxiety, confusion or deep sadness. You are not alone in this. If you are seeking therapy for the first time or have been in therapy before, please know that this is a safe place for you. All of us want to find a place of peace and joy in our life, but sometimes it feels like we are lost in a forest. I want to help you find your way out of that, to recognize your own path. I have a strong belief that we are in a constant state of change and adaptation in life and the secret is to realize and own our personal power. Peace is accomplished through balance, boundaries and new beginnings; those three work together and empower you. I look forward to helping you begin this next step of your journey and to find your power in that.

Trauma hurts. It can be sudden, life-altering and overwhelming, or chronic, subtle and nearly unnoticeable, but either way it can change the way we think about others, the world, and unfortunately, ourselves. Dealing with the aftermath—changes in our relationships, lashing out toward self or others, feeling nothing and/or everything all at once—is sometimes as hard as the initial event, especially when society, friends and family and our own minds tell us to “just get over it.” Worse, sometimes we aren’t even sure where the trauma came from in the first place, leaving us confused and even feeling hopeless. If you could just “get over it,” you would, but sometimes the brain simply cannot process traumatic events without help, and this is why trauma therapy exists. :) I'm an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in Texas. I've been in practice for nearly 15 years and have been doing EMDR therapy for 13 of those. I specialize in helping teens and adults process trauma of all kinds. My goal is to help my clients gain the skills needed to process and adapt to traumatic memories, and then allow them to do so in a safe environment. I teach them how to build boundaries and follow through, and to treat themselves with self-compassion rather than judgment and harsh expectations. Trauma doesn’t have to ruin (or run) your life. If you’re hurting, please know I’d be happy to help in any way I can.

Treat others the way you want to be treated is the motto I live by. I want to be treated kindly, I want to be heard and I want to feel I matter. This is how I will treat you, without strings or hesitation. I have a story just as you do. I have been lucky to choose a career that has enabled me to know when I need to talk to someone, enabled me to learn and use coping skills that work and has also enabled me to see the beauty through the broken pieces. Growing up I was a nosey child, I always wanted to know the "why", I still do! This personality trait led me on a path where I have been able to meet people from all walks of life, people who seemingly burned every bridge walked over, people with no hope as well as people who just were going through a rough patch. All these individuals have helped me become the person and the therapist I am today. I am truly excited to hear people’s story, restore faith and be the constant in people’s lives. Give me a chance to hear your story, you are not alone!

Hello! My name is Kathy Kinskey. I have a masters degree in marriage and family counseling & I am greatly honored to be a seasoned licensed professional counselor who has worked with individuals, families and children for over 26 years! My experience and commitment to training continue help me hone and update my specialization in attachment and trauma work so as you and I collaborate, we have current tools to help you thrive! Attachment and trauma work are important areas for all of us to address if we want to live and love fully. Taking a quiz and identifying your attachment style is the first step to putting the puzzle pieces together about how your relationship style may be influencing your life - how and who you choose as a life partner, how you relate to your children, yourself, your work, money and to all of life! I also specialize in preparation for birth and adoption, bonding, post partum/ post-adoption adjustment and depression and anxiety - all areas where attachment work can transform your life and your relationships. Know that attachment style work can be a fascinating and fun process of discovery! And know, too, you have support here in using these great tools to meet your goals. Lastly, evidence-based tools for trauma & attachment work can also help you remove entrepreneurial & career blocks & find your way through anxiety and loss. You can break through old patterns...patterns that are actually just signals that you need a safe & supportive environment along with effective tools so you can develop & use emotional literacy as essential life guidance. No one taught us this stuff; it's not your fault you don't have this needed information and tools. The good news though is these things are here for us now!

I have ten years of working in residential care, where I've been blessed to work with adolescents and their families. Typically, when one seeks residential care for their children, they feel hopeless, vulnerable and judged. It was my privilege to assist families in reframing these feelings and coming alongside them and their children to provide healing within the family system. "Meraki" means to do things with soul, creativity and love; I feel these three things provide a warm, safe counseling environment as people battling mental health issues, trauma or family conflict are able to heal. I am skilled in providing emotional and physical regulation, and utilize a trauma informed approach to addressing conflict within families, anxiety, depression, PTSD and more. I provide individual, marriage and family counseling sessions. I believe the decision to begin counseling can be difficult and scary. However, it is a brave first step that can improve a person's quality of life as they begin to process and heal from past/present hurt.

I was inspired to become a therapist as a young child, with the value of wanting to help others. I realized I wanted to help people believe in themselves and to see their own possibilities. Validation is one of the most important tools I value as a therapist and as a person. I teach clients to self validate, to know what you experienced is true and real. I value the process of creating this safe space where one can see themselves just as they are. I ask for feedback to see if how I respond through validation fits for the client, if they felt heard and validated.

Feeling lost in the chaos of life or the tough stuff most therapists won’t touch? Hi, My name is John’Neiska "JoJo" Williams and I am a licensed professional counselor in the states TX, GA LA, CO and I can assure you, you’ve come to the right place. Kick off your shoes and relax your feet—because therapy with me will never be a cliché. Therapy isn’t just venting—I’m not here for small talk. I have a laid-back vibe, but make no mistake I’m here to challenge, teach, and help you grow with real change. No clichés, no endless “How does that make you feel?” I believe that true healing happens when we bring the mind and body into the same conversation. While most people think thoughts lead to behaviors, I’ve seen how often behaviors can shape thoughts and how powerful it can be to work counterintuitively to spark change. Thats why I focus on the primary use of Counterintuitive Therapy that is rooted in  blended approaches from the frameworks of Behavior therapy and Gestalt therapy in a way that’s present-focused, dynamic, and deeply human. Some moments in life demand that we focus on the here and now, while others call for us to explore how the body has been keeping score of past experiences. Some emotions and stress doesn’t fit meet the criteria of a one-size-fits-all model. That’s why I incorporate a range of  behavioral tools and more specialized eccentric approaches, including Ketamine & Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, DBT, creative expressive play, and counterintuitive skills, all tailored to fit your needs.

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 13 years of experience providing compassionate care in Texas. My academic journey began at Texas State University, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, followed by a Master's degree from Our Lady of the Lake University, focusing on Services to Families. Throughout my career, I have worked in various settings, including as a therapist for children and families, at a substance abuse treatment facility, and within community organizations. These diverse experiences have enriched my understanding and equipped me to address the complex challenges clients face. My practice is deeply rooted in empathy and a strong commitment to healing. I support children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, substance abuse, and life stressors. I also assist clients in navigating grief, life transitions, and complex relationship dynamics. Having grown up in a military family, I possess unique insights into the challenges faced by military families, enabling me to offer specialized support and empathy to those navigating the complexities of military life. I utilize evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, to help clients overcome struggles and achieve positive outcomes. Life's challenges can feel like a relentless storm, leaving us feeling adrift and overwhelmed. In these moments, we may feel lost, with no clear direction or sense of safety. However, even the most powerful storms have an end. I offer a safe, supportive space to explore your feelings and find your way through the storm. You don't have to face these challenges alone; I am here to walk with you every step of the way. Together, we will navigate these turbulent waters, uncovering your strength and resilience.

My name is Maudlyn Howell-Nwaogwugwu. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas. I obtained my master's degree in counseling psychology in 2005 and my bachelor’s in psychology/sociology in 1996. I have worked inpatient, outpatient, and currently in private practice. I have experienced trauma in my life that has shaped the foundation of this ministry of help and the direction of my life. I am a scientist of the soul and passionate about your reservoir of truth. I am a servant called to the ministry of help. I am an experienced therapist dedicated to helping you overcome your anxiety, depression, and anger and looking at your traumatic events through new eyes. In other words, I help you develop and create new glasses. A portion of Jeremiah 8:22 says, "Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is there no healing for the wound of my people...". I am not a physician but I consider myself a scientist of the soul. Most often on our journey home, we have experienced moral, soul, financial, spiritual, physical, biological, psychological, emotional and mental injuries to name a few. But, how do we navigate to find Shalom, aka "peace" to live the life we were created for? We often feel trapped in life's puzzle. So, take a moment and let's talk!

I am here to help you take off the mantle of other people and wear your cloak, then, you can be free to be you. A scientist with a niche for trauma, depression, mood and anxiety. I am here to walk with you, talk with you and listen to you.  I am EMDR trained.  I see EMDR as the Holy Spirit in action, cleaning and emptying the temple of all unnecessary clogs and/or blockages. In other words, the roof on a house needs a roofer to clean out the drainage allowing the water to flow freely

You are not defined by the words of others, but you are defined by your Creator. You are a Designer original. There is no one like you in all the earth. Welcome Home!

Healing is not always found in a linear path. With every new experience we encounter there is the potential and opportunity for change. Hi, I'm Mayra, thank you for taking the time to considering me as a companion in your therapy journey. Therapy can be a challenge for some people so I like to provide gentle guidance. There is no single way of conducting therapy- everyone needs different approaches, resources and therapeutic support. I strive to help create a safe space for people to explore their identity (cultural, familial, sexual, etc). I have worked in the medical field for almost 20 years in different roles. This has allowed me to gain different perspectives and have a better understanding of the medical community. Having been part of this community has allowed me to serve patients, caregivers, first responders and medical professionals. Most of my adulthood has been spent in Austin and the Hill Country. I am a bilingual first-generation Texan and I’m happy to call Central Texas home. However, I was born and raised in South Texas and la frontera (the borderlands) is also very much part of my identity. I find that our cultures and family of origin at times play a role in how we choose to carry our experiences and expectations.
