I am a Pennsylvania Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been in the counseling field for over 20 years, working with, teens, young adults and the elderly, who have issues ranging from anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD and Autism (ASD). I have also done extensive work with individuals and couples going through transitions and relationship issues. I also bring experience in the area of pastoral and spiritual counseling that many times is helpful to one’s mental health. I hold an MA in Theology and a Master’s degree in Divinity from Christ the King Seminary. I also hold an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from LaSalle University. I've been teaching teaching undergraduate courses in philosophy, theology and psychology at Gwynedd Mercy University as well s Holy Family University over the past 15 years.
I bring to the counseling profession a wide variety of experiences, such as working in construction, high school teaching, high school coaching, youth ministry, college teaching, as well as over 20 years of experience in the corporate world. I am compassionate about helping people and try to gently guide them through life’s difficulties and obstacles that may impede their mental well-being and happiness. I'm approachable, relatable and have a deep desire to help others. I do enjoy my family, as well as writing, running and music when not helping others in the counseling field.
I love what I do, and I know why I do it. Since 2007 my focus has been coming along side of people and assisting them with challenges they face in life to become the most authentic and genuine person they were meant to be. In my own journey I've come to accept and appreciate the gifts I've been given, even if they're seemingly unrelated. I love my work as a therapist and I will always be passionate about performing music. How the two coexist within me is the journey I'm on. My focus has been in becoming a better therapist each day ... but I also know I'll never stop playing guitar and performing music, it's part of who I am.

My name is William Dougherty, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania, providing therapy to clients statewide through telehealth. I specialize in working with adults facing challenges related to anxiety, stress, and addictions. My therapeutic approach incorporates a range of techniques, predominantly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.
With a background in English literature, I bring a decidedly post-modern perspective to my therapeutic approach. One of the concepts I utilize is Narrative Therapy, which encourages and compassionately challenges people to be mindful of the story they’re telling in order to better utilize their strengths. This theory acknowledges the power of language, in that not only does the language we use reflect how we feel, it also affects how we feel. Therefore, the words we choose to use can help to manifest the changes we hope to bring about. The idea is to encourage the use of more positive, as opposed to negative, words while telling our life story. This approach has been remarkably effective in helping clients confront difficulties and bring about lasting and meaningful change.

Hi! My name is Ron Lamb. I work with people of all ages to help them discover and be their best selves. I specialize in working with people dealing with anxiety, depression, family, health, school and work issues. I have experience in working with clients struggling with addiction and in recovery. I will collaborate with you to understand and find effective ways to cope with the life challenges that all of us have. I strive to see the strengths and inner potential that I believe all of my clients have. I look forward to meeting with you to begin this journey!
Hi there! I am a big sports fan who loves spending time with family, sharing laughter, and enjoying great food. Music and outdoor activities are two of my favorite things. I’m always eager to learn something new and love starting my days early. Helping others reach their full potential and witnessing those ah-ha moments truly inspires me. You’ll often catch me embarrassing my family with my corny dad jokes or dance moves. I’ve worked in a variety of therapeutic settings as a school counselor, acute therapist, and suicide prevention therapist. My lifelong motto is, "do your best so you can give your best."
I help my clients get results fast. Therapy isn't a complicated process. We meet, we talk about expectations of therapy, identify specific treatment goals and map out a plan. Our work takes place in the boundaries of a safe, corrective emotional relationship. I put patients’ feelings into words, focus on symptom management and reduce their impact on personal and professional lives.
I've been practicing as a licensed psychotherapist and clinical social worker for over 15 years. I use a CBT/ Solution Focused approach in helping patients reduce anxiety and elevate and stabilize depressed mood. I help people move toward wellness in a safe, non-judgemental space.
Therapy works. It is about growth and evolution, and I've observed that there is great joy in embracing positive new behaviors based on this collaborative approach. I look forward to working with you!
Hello! I appreciate that you’re taking this step toward finding a therapist you feel will be a good fit for you. I am a licensed clinical social worker with 13 years of experience. For most of this time I have worked with people around issues of depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, and relationship/family issues. I am also passionate about working with LGBTQ folks around issues of coming out and self-acceptance. I know that the decision to look for a therapist isn’t always an easy one but, by doing so, you are taking an important first step toward creating change for yourself!
I take a down-to-earth, supportive, conversational approach to therapy. I engage in discussion and don’t hesitate to share my own life experience when appropriate. I find that a more personal approach helps strengthen the relationship between me and the people I meet with which, in turn, will help you feel more comfortable being open in sessions.
I take this approach because therapy is most successful when a person feels like their therapist understands them and when there is some level of connection. I focus on ensuring you will feel both seen and heard starting with our first session. You will be approached by me with curiosity, interest, and care at all times. At the start of your sessions with me I will ask how you’d like to start that day’s conversation and, if you’re not sure, will support you in discovering what might be important for you to talk about in the moment.
I invite you to schedule a first session to see if I am a good fit for what you’re looking for in therapy!
Welcome, my name is Fran Haggerty and I want to thank you for choosing therapy. Thank you for dedicating your time and energy into improving your situation. Together, we will navigate the challenges you are facing and create an improvement plan that will allow you to move forward with confidence. I value your dedication and commitment to this process that has proven invaluable to many who have garnered the strength to improve their lives. I have been a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 2002 and have worked with men, women, and couples to improve their ability to think logically and communicate effectively.
I aspire to work with individuals who are feeling overwhelmed with what life has thrown at them. These challenges include increased anxiety, depression, addiction, self-esteem, and embracing the confidence to move forward. My professional approach combines evidence-based interventions including CBT, and motivational interviewing, along with proven coaching strategies to effectively accomplish your goals.
Are you feeling depressed or anxious? Struggling to make sense of your relationships? Let me help!
Hello, I’m Mike McInerney, a part-time private therapist for adults. I have been counseling adults and families for more than 20 years.
Maybe you found me searching for online counseling services or maybe you were referred here by a friend or family member. First and foremost, I wish you well. Life is full of challenges and we could all use a little help.
Currently, I am open to working with a small handful of clients online on Mondays/Tuesdays. My approach is inviting, and warm, and I use humor if/when appropriate. Working with a therapist should be tailored to meet your needs.
Some people need a safe, confidential space to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Other people prefer a more solution-focused approach. Working together, we will figure out what is best for you.
Please feel free to contact me. (Responses are typically in 48hrs)
Therapy is about connecting with and formulating a safe relationship to explore and address your concerns through the therapeutic process; empowering you to achieve your goals of becoming happier and fulfilled in your relationships, life, and yourself. I want to assist you with achieving whatever solutions and/or life changes you are looking for in a safe and open environment.
I use an eclectic approach working from multiple modalities that best fit the client's goals, needs, and experiences. I have experience working with young adults, and adults with varying diagnoses. I specialize in the treatment of anger, anxiety, depression, family conflict, relationship issues, self-esteem building, and stress management.
As a therapist, my goal is to help to grow your personal strengths throughout the therapeutic process. In a non-judgmental environment, we will work together to build on your strengths and begin to understand the meaning of your distressing symptoms which will ultimately lead to growth and a positive transformation.
My counseling style is pretty laid back. I have been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate, with a pretty good sense of humor. I like to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you to maximize them to overcome your obstacles. I'm here to help you sort through the things that are difficult right now and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment. You have taken the first and most important step by reaching out for help.
I help professionals in recovery who are carrying more than anyone realizes. Many of my clients are high-achieving people who have spent years holding everything together on the outside while privately struggling with alcohol, substances, compulsive behaviors, anxiety, or burnout. They’re people who have been depended on—at home, at work, and in their families—and they’re tired of performing, hiding, or white-knuckling their way through life.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with years of experience in addiction recovery, trauma, and life transitions, I bring a grounded, practical, and compassionate approach. My work is deeply influenced by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), values-based living, and helping clients build a life that feels aligned rather than pressured or chaotic.
I understand that asking for help—especially as a professional—comes with unique challenges: reputation concerns, workplace stress, perfectionism, shame, fear of consequences, and relationships strained by years of coping alone. My role is not to judge or lecture, but to offer a private, steady space where you can talk openly, regain clarity, and take meaningful steps toward a healthier, more peaceful life.
Whether you’re navigating early sobriety, long-term recovery, career demands, relationship stress, or a sense that you’ve lost yourself, I’m here to walk with you—not as an authority figure, but as someone who respects the courage it takes to show up.
If you’re ready for therapy that’s confidential, respectful, and tailored to the realities of being a professional in recovery, I’d be honored to support you.
I'm a board-licensed therapist with extensive experience working with teens and adults. I believe that therapy is characterized by safety, trust, respect, and an emphasis on education and self-discovery. I have had the pleasure of conducting therapy with people of various ages and backgrounds. I have served in various clinical settings (e.g., inpatient psychiatric, outpatient counseling, addictions, etc.). My specializations include working with those who have experienced life-altering anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, substance use, and chronic stress.
Hi there, my name is Mitch, and I am a licensed professional counselor.
Do you feel like you’ve lost control? Are you plagued by unwelcome, often self-critical thoughts? Maybe you’ve experienced a significant life event like the loss of a loved one, job, or relationship? You’ve no doubt tried to manage on your own but despite your best efforts, things aren’t getting any better. Well, you don’t have to go through this journey alone. Together, we can identify the challenges that are holding you back and help you to build the life that you deserve.
Therapy can be intimidating, so if you’ve decided to seek help, then you’ve made a brave choice, and I believe, a wise one. For that, I’d like to congratulate you. And whatever the reason you’re struggling to achieve your goals, I believe I can help. I have over 10 years of experience working with a wide range of individuals, including those who struggle with anxiety, depression, substance use, OCD behaviors, ADD/ADHD, PTSD, schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder.
In our therapy we’ll address your needs by drawing from an array of researched-based models, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavior therapy, trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing. You will feel safe, heard, and respected in our sessions, but also motivated and ultimately equipped to implement the changes you want to see in your life. I have witnessed the transformative power of therapy up close, and I know it can work for you. Let’s embark on this journey together!
Hi, I'm Cory!
Do you feel unmotivated, uninspired, and stuck in the routine of life or your relationship? Are you searching for who you are at your core and learning to live a life aligned with that? Are you struggling with anxiety, burnout, depression, or stress, which gets in the way of you moving forward?
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working with families, individuals, and couples. My belief is that we all have struggles throughout our lives, and with the right support, we all have the strength within us to overcome these obstacles. In walking this journey of growth and healing with you, we will use a mind, body, and soul approach. I believe if we are not fulfilling all areas of our health and wellness there will always be parts of us that are not aligned with our truest self, which hinders our natural healing cycle and interferes with us living a meaningful and fulfilling life.
I work well with individuals experiencing life struggles related to anxiety, depression, trauma, negative patterns caused by toxic family dynamics, phase of life and adjustment issues, grief and loss, career challenges, self esteem obstacles, relationship struggles, developing and teaching coping skills, finding the root causes to negative patterns in your life, and helping to identify who you are as your individual self.
A few moments to introduce myself. Professionally I am known as
I. Barry Bell, Ph.D. I am a 73-year-old, male, Caucasian Clinical Psychologist who has been in practice for 39 years. I have worked in a variety of settings, in both in-patient psychiatric hospitals and out-patient clinical settings. I have also maintained my own private practice from September 2016 to the present.
Prior to receiving my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1985, I trained extensively as a Modern Dancer for 10 years. During these years I became deeply involved in emerging positive psychologies and Eastern/Buddhist/Taoist studies. This was the beginning of the interface between what is now referred to as Mindfulness based approaches to psychotherapy and Eastern philosophies, especially Buddhist. Mindfulness approaches to psychotherapy are now at the forefront of evidence-based interventions.
I have spent more than the past 20 years studying and practicing the interface between psychotherapy and personal psychological growth. Over the years I have integrated various theoretical approaches, including depth psychodynamic theories. I will be happy to discuss my approach with you further should you choose to contact me to consider engaging in psychotherapeutic work with me.

I am a Christian man, a family man, and I enjoy getting to know others, hearing their stories, coming alongside in their journey, and helping for a time. Primarily, I have seen this happen when people are open to seeing things from a different perspective and experiencing healing in their relationships. When we work together, I want you to start walking through life with better vision, better purpose, and better people, although it might be the same people but you are seeing them and treating them in a whole new way. And don't forget about seeing and treating yourself in new ways too. You are worth it!

I believe everyone has the ability to find their strength and wellness. Sometimes it takes a little extra support to get you there and that is where I come in. With almost two decades of experience in the field, we will work together as a team to reach your goals. There is no timeframe to reach these goals and we will get there at your speed. I treat therapy like you are driving a car, you choose the direction and speed while I act as GPS and help guide the path.
I specialize in working with men who struggle with self-esteem, relationships difficulties, motivation issues, social anxiety, ADHD, depression, and parenting issues. The clients I work with generally fall into 3 groups of people.
The 1st struggles with self-esteem, social anxiety, some difficulties with forming healthy relationships, sensitivity to rejection, uncertainty of who they are, and being self-critical.
The 2nd struggles with ADHD, indecisiveness, following through on goals, feeling disorganized, talking compulsively, racing thoughts, having too many ideas, and being perfectionistic to a fault.
The 3rd group I work with are fathers or husbands. They may have difficulties controlling their emotions, connecting with their partner or children in a meaningful way, or communicating their thoughts and feelings in a way that's honest and empathetic.
Every client I see is unique and not everything listed always applies, but if you see yourself in any of these groups then I encourage you to keep reading.
Unfortunately I do not work with clients under the age of 24.
Welcome. Congratulations on taking the first step to unlocking your fullest potential. Being here, reading this, means that you are looking for more, wanting something to be different, or to finally overcome an obstacle in your life.

Welcome! My name is Evan Miller and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and psychotherapist in the state of Pennsylvania.
The goal of therapy is to facilitate personal growth and help you improve your life. I believe there is no one-size-fits all approach to therapy, so this can take many shapes and forms depending on your needs. Whether you're looking to build self-awareness, strengthen your relationships, change your unwanted habits, better manage your stress or just feel better emotionally - I am here to help!
I consider the therapeutic relationship to be fundamental to all forms of good therapy, so I continually strive to create an environment that is supportive, safe, authentic, comfortable and non-judgmental. While I have specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (M.I.) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, I utilize a person-centered and integrative approach that also incorporates elements of attachment theory, existential-humanistic theory and harm reduction philosophy.
I’m a therapist who believes mental health care should feel approachable, supportive, and grounded in genuine human connection. My style is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I aim to create a space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and explore challenges without pressure or pretense. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you, but about helping you better understand yourself, your experiences, and your patterns.
A balance of empathy and practicality shapes my clinical work. I integrate evidence-based techniques with authentic, real conversations. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, or life transitions, we work together to build insight, coping skills, and emotional resilience.
In addition to my therapy work, I also work as an ICU nurse, which has deeply influenced my perspective on stress, trauma, and the complexity of being human. That experience allows me to bring a grounded, compassionate, and realistic understanding of life’s pressures into the therapy room.
Outside of work, I value quiet, restorative time. I enjoy working out, staying active, and taking care of my own well-being. I love spending time at home with my husband and our pets, and I’m a big fan of unwinding with a good movie. I believe balance, connection, and moments of calm are essential — not just luxuries — and I often help clients explore how to build more of that into their own lives.

I am a psychotherapist who works with a diverse population of people. My goal is to collaborate with individuals to assist them in achieving their therapy goal(S). My treatment modalities are cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and Ericksonian hypnotherapy approaches. Although I used these modalities, I do not use a one size fits all approach. I am a think-out-of-the-box clinician that will often challenge clients to try approaches that may be out of their comfort zone. Some examples of my experience include working with individual clients on developing skills in coping with mental health conditions/diagnosis, life stress, finding balance, and improving self-esteem. Although I use these approaches, my clients tell me it feels like we are having a conversation as opposed to feeling like they are in a therapy session. I have a specialization in working with Veterans, LGBTQI, men, and people of color populations. However, I work with all people who are seeking mental health services. I am licensed in DC (LICSW), VA (LCSW), MD (LCSW-C), and PA (LCSW). I have BS in Human Ecology, BA in Humanities from The Ohio State University, MSW from San Jose State University and Post Masters fellowship in mental health from Stanford University.
As a former school counselor with over 30 years of experience and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, substance use, and difficulties in achieving academic success. I am passionate about getting to the underlying cause(s) of your concerns. I am a licensed psychologist with many years of experience in cognitive behavioral therapy. I have had success using CBT to treat anxiety, panic, anger issues, insomnia, and chronic pain. Treatment is goal oriented, skill based, and backed by research.
I think that it is very important to learn to judge yourself and the world less harshly. I believe that our unrealistic thoughts and expectations are major contributors to our discontent. I have found that some of the concepts of Eastern and Stoic philosophy can help put our lives into better perspective.
I particularly like the aspects of psychology that are based on science. As a field, we know a lot about how people learn and how early experience shapes our current moods and behavior. I also like to incorporate current ideas in neurology and physiology that support behavior change.
