Hello and welcome to Grow Therapy. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have worked in the mental health field since 1998. First, with my bachelors degree and later doing clinical work after earning my master's degree.
I believe taking care of our mental health should be as accepted and routine as taking care of our physical health.
Therapy can help us to be the best versions of ourselves.
Life is a beautiful mess. Sometimes everything seems to be going our way. And other times, it can leave us feeling overwhelmed, confused, and off balance. I would like to offer guidance and support as you navigate those ups and downs.
I have 32 years of experience providing counseling. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, stressing that what we think determines what we feel and what we do. For many reasons, people learn unrealistic or destructive thoughts that cause them problems in their lives. Therapy works towards more realistic thinking, and avoiding old and destructive thinking. As I like to say, "therapy is a conversation with a destination," and realistic thinking is that destination.
While I am a Christian, I am not trained as a Christian Counselor. I am a "Counselor who is a Christian." My training is secular, and I regularly see people or all faiths, or none at all. I do not offer court ordered services, nor do I do assessments for custody, or any other legal purpose. Unfortunately, I cannot accept Medicare, or Medicare based plans.
The world is changing, and more and more people are reaching out. I am seeing more men that have been in abusive relationships. There are also more people dealing with loss. Coming to my office is not like going to a big mental health clinic where you just another number on a spreadsheet. In my care, you are a person, and you'll be treated like one.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Illinois and have been practicing for 23 years. Within my holistic practice, I incorporate mindfulness techniques such as deep breathing exercises, meditation, positive affirmations as well as utilize creative arts and movement during sessions. I work with clients who are feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated or anxious. I provide support as well as pride myself in a person centered approach, meeting my client where they are, and helping them to meet goals that they wish to achieve. I am compassionate about working with individuals facing infertility or health issues.

Hi, I'm a licensed clinical social worker based in northeast Pennsylvania with over 25 years experience as a psychotherapist. I received my bachelors degree from Swarthmore College, my masters degree from Columbia University School of Social Work and I completed a post graduate fellowship in psychiatry at the Yale University Psychiatric Institute. Over the years I've worked with clients of all ages struggling with a wide variety of disorders. Primarily, I help adults 18+ who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and alcohol use disorders. I view our work together as a collaborative venture where I help you to identify troublesome thoughts and behaviors and replace them with positive ones. We will accomplish this utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and other forms of therapy as needed.
Hello, my name is Emily. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 14 years of experience. My specialties include working with individuals who struggle with: trauma, addiction, anxiety and mood disorders. I have formal trainings in DBT, Addictions Counseling, Gambling Disorders, Brain Injury and EMDR. If you select to work with me, you can expect a warm and direct approach to your therapeutic needs.
I work with people who think deeply, care a lot, and feel worn down by demands of modern life. You may be managing stress that shows up across multiple areas—career, relationships, identity, spirituality. You may even be unsure about change. Part of you wants things to be different, while another part feels tired or unsure. This isn't a problem, but a starting point. We move at a pace that respects where you are and recognizes that progress doesn’t have to be dramatic to be therapeutic. You're taking that first step toward a life that feels not only manageable, but meaningful.
I believe in the saying, “If you give a man a fish he eats for a day, but if you teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime.” I teach techniques that can be implemented to overcome current hurdles and are also transferrable to be used in the future as needs arise.
My approach is to work collaboratively with clients to meet them where they are and learn their goals and aspirations so that we can develop a plan together to overcome obstacles. I have experience and enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. My work is focused on helping individuals and families that are struggling with mood and learning disorders, anxiety, trauma, and other challenges.
I primarily practice psychodynamic techniques, and also incorporate CBT, mindfulness, trauma focused, Family Dynamics, Family Systems, and other modalities as appropriate.
I have diverse experience working with children, families, and adults across settings including schools, homes, hospitals, long-term care facilities, family court and juvenile justice systems, as well as those involved with DHS, foster care, and the adoption process.
Working with individuals & families experiencing and living with health challenges and/or disabilities is of particular interest to me.

It can feel increasingly difficult to cope with life’s stressors as we struggle with our relationships as well as our own feelings of self-worth. The way we feel about ourselves very often defines our relationships with others.

It is important to have support at times of doubt to help in life’s decision-making process. You will find this process a safe and effective way to work through personal and relational challenges. Hi there, I'm Erin.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with individuals as well as groups regarding various mental health concerns.
I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and my Master's degree from Lehigh University (Go Mountain Hawks!).
I am passionate about helping individuals learn, grow, and thrive by providing a solution-focused approach to therapy. I help individuals to gain insight into their concerns and issues, create plans for positive change, and take action towards healthier lifestyles.
In our sessions you will have the space and support to work through the challenges you are facing. I will incorporate techniques from mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and positive psychology to assist in your treatment.
Life is filled with challenges and setbacks that can at times feel completely overwhelming. By attending therapy you are choosing to take back the control to pursue an enhanced and improved quality of life. No matter where you are at or what you are going through, I’ll be here to walk by your side.
I can help you navigate through change: job loss, grief, family estrangement, divorce/breakup, gender exploration, working on anxious attachment or people-pleasing. Together, we can work to integrate trauma, depression, anxiety and other symptoms into a life that feels worthwhile, however you define that. There's definitely more than one path for healing, and what can look like stability to some can be uncomfortably stifling to others. I will utilize a combination of narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, DBT/CBT skills (very optional!), feminist therapy and insight-oriented therapy to help you find your way forward.
My biggest rule in therapy is "no trauma shaming." That is, if you are sharing your trauma and include a qualifier such as "other people have it worse," I will remind you that your trauma is valid! Surviving trauma is difficult enough; shame is a log lying on the train tracks. We can move it, and move forward, with the correct equipment.

I went back to school later in life, and like to encourage others to do the same if possible.
My first experience in this field came when I got a job at a county mental health/developmental services program as a receptionist. I was motivated by all the great work that the caseworkers were doing to improve their clients lives. I went back to school to finish my Bachelors and finally received a Masters in Social work. I retired from the county program as a Casework Supervisor, I felt that my position was becoming more administrative, and I was missing the connections I had made with my clients.
At that time I felt it was time to work on what my original goal was which was to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
I did work for 5 years with children with behavioral issues in school and in their homes.
My previous position was in a small practice in rural PA, where I learned the importance of being eclectic in my treatment approach because every clent and their situation is different , and they deserve to have a treatment plan specifically targeted to their situation

My therapeutic work is grounded in evidence-based modalities including CBT, Psychoanalytic, and Psychodynamic therapy—always held within a culturally responsive and client-centered lens. This is more than treatment—it’s connection, truth-telling, and reclamation.
I work with you to explore the unconscious roots of your present-day distress—unraveling long-standing relational patterns, internal conflicts, and attachment wounds. Together, we examine how your early experiences have shaped your sense of self and relationships, not to stay in the past, but to understand it with compassion and gain new freedom in the present. I honor the complexity of healing—holding space for ambiguity, contradiction, and growth that unfolds over time.
When requested, I integrate Christian counseling techniques—offering faith-based support if you want to explore your relationship with God and see your journey through a Christ-centered lens. I will not assume and will ask questions to help the process move forward in a manner that promotes your individual growth toward your goals. I like to use real-life examples in discussion and I often employ humor in this and will get to know specifics that will personalize these examples. I am well-trained and experienced in many evidence-based treatments and together we can explore and plan how to proceed and progress in these for you.
Reaching out to engage in therapy can be scary. Please know I understand this and will provide a reassuring, supportive setting to focus on you and on what you are looking to get out of the therapy experience. It is a partnership focused on you, for you and in support of your growth and life balance progress. We can discuss and plan how to best work together toward your goals.
I have worked in the treatment since i was 36 and have 35 years of experience. My early experience was in the drug and alcohol and relapse prevention field. During that time i attended the Gestalt Institute in Cleveland, Ohio where I took 4 years of intense training. This lead me to find that therapy is not a method for me to figure out the client but a means for the client to gain greater self-awareness in facing their own life aspirations and struggles. I place focus on clients’ somatic awareness, especially breath, so being more in their body so they can try on new physical and intellectual styles in facing their world. I have a lot of knowledge about what is called the 12 step process and have melded together spirituality and religion in my own life. Prior to being a counselor/ therapist i taught school, painted steel bridges and other structures, and was a machinist at a large steel company, that like the many in our area have since closed their shops.
