(she/her)
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Pennsylvania, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. I bring the variety of experiences that over 18 years of working in the mental health field offers. I have experience working with individuals of all ages as well as families to address a wide range of concerns including (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, self-esteem issues and women's issues.
The first session is all about getting to know each other and building the foundation of the therapeutic relationship. We'll take time to explore what brings them in, talk through goals, and begin to build a sense of safety and trust. They can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where they are encouraged to set their own pace. I may ask some questions about their history, current concerns, and what they are hoping to get out of therapy. This session also gives new clients a chance to ask me any questions about how I work and decide if I am a good fit for their needs.
As a therapist, my approach to counseling is rooted in several fundamental principles aimed at fostering growth, resilience, and empowerment within my clients. I adhere to a solution-focused, strengths-based, and trauma-informed framework, which means that our sessions will prioritize identifying and building upon your existing strengths while exploring practical solutions to the challenges you face.
I specialize in supporting individuals navigating periods of transition in their lives. Whether you're a college student adjusting to newfound independence, a young professional facing career or identity shifts, or a new parent adapting to the demands of family life, I provide a compassionate, grounded space to explore these changes and grow through them.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I often utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques because of its emphasis on mindfulness, values-based living, and psychological flexibility. I find it useful in treating anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders.
Family Therapy
I utilize structural/strategic family therapy techniques to help create a more supportive, functional family environment, helping members work together to overcome challenges and build stronger bonds
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach when i am working with individuals who would like to identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that may be causing distress. Combined with mindfulness approaches it can help individual focus on the present and incorporate coping skills to manage problems effectively.
