New to Grow
My name is Jana Allen, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 24 years of experience helping individuals and families navigating life's challenges. My approach in working with adolescents and adults integrates faith with evidence-based therapeutic practices for clients who desire a spiritually grounded path to healing. I hold degrees from Penn State University (BS), Howard University (MSW), and Walden University (MBA). I am an ordained minister and have been married for over 20 years with two teenage children.
During the first session, we will focus on getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. I am committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients can grow emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
I work collaboratively with clients using a compassionate, client-centered approach. I specialize in helping individuals navigate life challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, and emotional stress. Together we work to build resilience, improve coping skills, and promote emotional and spiritual wellness.
I am here to serve clients who do not feel heard, overthink everything, or pour into everyone else but feel very empty as well as the faith-based believer who understand their faith but don't always feel it. I work with individuals who feel stuck, anxious, or disconnected with their purpose. My goal is to help you shift unhelpful thinking patterns, build emotional resilience, and reconnect with both your purpose and your faith if you want spirituality to be a part of your healing.
Faith based therapy
I will ethically integrate a client's spiritual beliefs into evidenced based clinical work by using faith as a resource for healing when a client wants it.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I will connect thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to support your journey to healing.
