About me

If you’ve ever found yourself asking, “Where did we go wrong?” or aching to feel close to someone who now feels like a stranger, you’re not alone—and you’re in the right place. I help couples and families untangle the distance, rediscover connection, and bring tenderness back to the forefront of their relationships. Rooted in a connection-based approach, my work is about uncovering what’s been buried—beneath silence, fear, or hurt—and making space for honesty, softness, and growth. With a background in Psychology and Family Science from Towson University and a Master’s in Family Therapy from Drexel University, I blend clinical insight with deep compassion. Together, we’ll work to rebuild what feels lost, and create a love you can feel again.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, I can imagine you'll feel jaded, exhausted, doubtful, wrung out AND slightly hopeful at the potential relief to come, curious about me about how this will help, and seeking some kind of real change. This session and will open provide a container for all of it. Couples are said to wait YEARS before taking this step and the pressure and expectation for our first session to cause a shift is real. I can't promise you it will all change in this session but this I can, you will be seen for who you are, are you've been hurting. You will be treated with respect. You will be informed. And I will hold on to the hope for you until you can carry it again yourself. You may even find out in this first session what you need to know to make your next choice.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Humor. Curiosity. Candor. Faith. PASSION! Sometimes I will, you will, we will snicker or giggle and it will catch you by surprise. As serious as what you have been going through is, believe it or not, laughter is still the best medicine. I am one curious cookie. I MUST understand what it is I am sitting in, looking at, or working with before we start shuffling the board and making changes. Be ready to look deep, feel more, and see things in a new light AGAIN! Health relationships require repeating what worked in new ways. I will be honest, and at times transparent, in my assessment and prognosis, sharing where we are, and where we're headed given what is known. Faith in the power and work of love. Passion for love to grow, thrive, and win, even as a rose in concrete.

Let's go for it together!

My treatment methods

Couples Counseling

I use couples counseling as a supplemental to personal work that has been done or is being done to understand and connect with yourself so you are prepared for the work of building, rebuilding, repairing the foundation of a relationship, trust, communication, friendship, fondness, attraction and more. In couples counseling, partners expose their hurts, their expectations, their desires in hope and effort to create and work toward a shared vision for the future of their relationship.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to acknowledge to true core values of a person's being and how these can ground a person's actions, narrative, and future decisions amidst stubborn, unyielding, or delayed changes that are needed in their circumstances.

Psychoeducation

Often time, accurate information in the proper context about something or someone, can be the catalyst or the missing piece in the story. That is power of psychoeducation. I provide psychoeducation so that clients and couples feel empowered and informed to make the choices necessary to move into their next chapter of life, reclaiming as much autonomy as possible.
