LPC, 7 years of experience
Hello and welcome! I’m Beth, and I’m so glad you’re here taking this important first step toward self-care. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. You may be feeling a loss of motivation, overwhelmed by emotions, or worried about a child. Whatever challenges you’re facing, I believe EVERYONE deserves to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can face challenges, find empowerment, and build a sense of security to move forward with confidence. As a highly sensitive and empathic person, I value compassion and authenticity. I’m down-to-earth and, like everyone else, I’ve faced my own struggles. I’m a wife and mother of two young adults and, like many families, we know how to drive each other a little crazy at times! I also find balance by spending time outdoors in nature and eating lots of chocolate!!! The tools and strategies I share with my clients are ones I’ve used in my own life, and my experiences as a therapist, educator, mother, wife, daughter, and friend help me connect as a relatable ally in the therapeutic process. Before becoming a counselor, I spent 20 years as a schoolteacher in Philadelphia, working with students who often faced significant physical, mental, and emotional challenges. I saw firsthand how the education system prioritized academics over addressing these struggles, and over time I realized my true calling was to support children in a deeper way. That led me to pursue a graduate degree in mental health counseling and begin this work that I am so passionate about today.
From the very first session, my clients learn that they will be truly heard and valued. Together, we begin by exploring their concerns and developing both short- and long-term goals. Clients quickly see that I provide a nonjudgmental space where they feel validated and reassured, knowing that no problem is ever “too big” or “too small” to find relief. I believe in fostering open, meaningful communication and creating an atmosphere built on trust and safety. My goal is to equip clients with the tools they need to embrace independence and feel empowered. I also incorporate laughter into the therapeutic process when appropriate, as it can be a powerful way to ease stress and anxiety.
My approach to therapy is primarily cognitive, viewed through a holistic lens. I integrate a variety of theories, strategies, and tools to support to each individual’s unique needs. Anxiety and depression run in my own family, so I understand firsthand how debilitating they can feel. While some believe that unmet needs in childhood permanently define us, I don’t subscribe to that view. From personal experience and my work with clients, I know that healing and growth are possible. Even those who arrive feeling skeptical or hopeless often discover that with commitment and support, meaningful positive change can happen.
My background in mental health is quite diverse. I’ve worked in a hospital setting with children and adults in active crisis, supported domestic violence survivors both in a women’s shelter and on their hotline, and gained experience in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs for teens and adults facing a wide range of mental health concerns. Most recently, I’ve been providing outpatient therapy for individuals of all ages navigating various challenges and diagnoses. Many of my clients come to me with traumatic backgrounds, seeking freedom and healing. I am an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider who is passionate about advocating for children who are not receiving the support they need. I also find it fascinating how many of my adult clients share that they’ve always felt something was “off,” only to later discover that ADHD may be part of their experience. I also enjoy working with overwhelmed parents who feel mentally, emotionally, and physically depleted. My 20+ years as a teacher, along with raising two children of my own, have given me valuable insight and empathy in supporting parents and families.
My approach to therapy leans toward cognitive, but through a holistic lens. I incorporate numerous other theories, strategies, and tools to meet everyone’s personal needs.

I don’t know what I did before Beth. I was unhappy and lost in a sea of anxiety. She helped me find myself and figure out ways to live happier and healthier. I’m so glad to have her in my corner.
