About me

Hi, my name is Laura, a person-centered and trauma-informed therapist who believes in the power of authentic connection and self-discovery. My approach is holistic, grounded in understanding the full context of your life—mind, body, and spirit. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you can unpack what feels heavy, explore patterns, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been silenced or overlooked.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is about connection and curiosity. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy, what’s been weighing on you, and what you hope to find or feel differently. I’ll also share more about how I work so we can decide together what feels like the right pace and focus. My goal is for you to leave our first meeting feeling heard, understood, and supported—with a clearer sense of what this therapeutic journey might look like for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I strive to create a calm, supportive space where clients feel truly heard and cared for. I value being present, curious, and responsive, meeting each person where they are. Clients have shared that our work together helps them feel more at ease and confident, which I see as a reflection of the trust we build in therapy. My approach is trauma-informed and holistic, focusing on understanding each person’s story with empathy and helping them move toward growth, balance, and self-connection at a pace that feels safe.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who are ready to deepen their self-awareness and move toward growth, even if they’re unsure where to start. Many of my clients come to me navigating trauma, self-esteem struggles, relationship challenges, anxiety, or life transitions. They may feel stuck or disconnected from themselves, yet hold a quiet hope that change is possible. Together, we work to turn that hope into a tangible path forward—one step, one insight, one shift at a time.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

Safety and empowerment guide every part of our work. Whether or not trauma is your primary focus, I use a steady, grounded approach that honors your nervous system, your lived experiences, and your boundaries. We move at a pace that feels safe, helping you build emotional stability before processing deeper layers.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

At the heart of my work is a genuine, empathetic relationship. I believe you are the expert of your own life, and I aim to create a space where you feel deeply heard, respected, and supported. Your voice, values, and inner wisdom shape the direction of therapy.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate gentle mindfulness practices to help you become more present, grounded, and connected to your body. These tools support emotional regulation, reduce anxiety, and help you respond—rather than react—to life’s challenges.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

When helpful, I use CBT to explore unhelpful thought patterns and build healthier, more balanced ways of understanding yourself and your experiences. This approach provides practical tools for managing anxiety, breaking old cycles, and strengthening confidence.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT skills such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness often weave into our sessions. These skills help you navigate overwhelming emotions, communicate more clearly, and create more stability both internally and in relationships.
