Hi, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Based out of Texas. Licensed both in Texas and Pennsylvania. I have been working in the mental health field for over 10 years. I specialize primarily in working with individuals that struggle with trauma and anxiety. With experience in various types of trauma, I have partnered with many individuals to help them learn how to navigate life. My goal is to empower the individual through learning coping skills that are the right fit for the person.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will take the time to get to know each other. I truly believe that therapy is about knowing what works best for the client and learning how to communicate with each other. I will ask some basic questions, and then we will set goals that we will work on together over time. My goal is to build a therapeutic relationship that allows the individual to feel safe, heard and welcomed.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Being a listener that truly wants to hear what someone is saying and understand the emotions behind those words has been something that I feel has truly allowed me to provide a very therapeutic environment within my sessions. I am intentional in how I conduct myself, I want to be sincere in my conversation, my body language and tone. I want my clients to know that they can approach me and are valued simply because they exist, not because of who they are or what they bring to the session. Being authentic is something I strive for daily both in my personal and professional life.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is a way of using our everyday lives as a coping skill. I utilize what the client already has on hand to incorporate coping skills as a means for decreasing anxiety, panic, stress and various other mental struggles. I taught Mindfulness group therapy for two years, and since transitioned to using this within individual sessions for the past 8 years.
