New to Grow
Welcome / Bienvenidos Something in your life has led you to this moment. Maybe you've been carrying more than you can manage alone, or perhaps you're simply ready for a change. Whatever brought you here, I'm glad you took this step. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and couples as they navigate life's challenges and discover their strengths. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered, with a focus on helping you identify meaningful goals and create lasting, positive change. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs and experiences. I work with adults and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, stress, self-esteem challenges, and the emotional impact of cultural adjustment, immigration, and acculturation. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, empowered, and equipped to move toward the life you want to create. I believe that seeking support is a courageous first step, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, resilience, and personal growth.
In our first session, my goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current concerns, your background and what you would like to achieve in therapy. I’ll explain confidentially and its limitations and answer any questions you have about how therapy works. My aim is to help you and move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and hope.
As a Dominican immigrant who came to the United States as a young teenager, I understand firsthand the challenges of adapting to a new culture while trying to hold on to your identity. My own journey has been shaped by experiences of resilience, growth, and transformation, and those experiences continue to inspire the work I do every day. My personal experiences have deepened my empathy and given me a genuine appreciation for the courage it takes to navigate life's challenges. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, understood, and accepted for who they are. I believe that meaningful healing begins with connection, and I'm passionate about building authentic, trusting relationships that empower people to discover their strengths, overcome obstacles, and create lasting, positive change.
