I love what I do as a Licensed Clinical Therapist. To me, there's no better job than showing people how to use their minds to work for them instead of against them by getting past their mental blocks and past traumas so they don't have to suffer any longer. Specifically, I work with two groups - couples and parents. Couples that aren't communicating very well that have lost that once special connection with their partner and parents struggling with their children's behaviors.

Hi, I am Diane Smith, a licensed practicing counselor, in Pennsylvania. Congratulations for making the decision to do therapy. I have worked in clinical counseling psychology for 14 years. I love to help people achieve their goals. We all go through difficult times and I am trained to help people overcome obstacles. Together we can work on the issues that are holding you back. It doesn't matter if it's anxiety, depression, you're burned out, poor boundaries, OCD, addictions, relationship issues, grief, and loss you name it we can handle it. You deserve to live your best life. If you are new to therapy don't worry. It's like talking to a good friend who is legally bound to not share a word you say. There are 3 reasons when I am legally bound to report, since I am a mandated reporter, 1. You threaten to kill the president 2. You threaten to harm yourself. 3. You threaten to harm someone else. Also, you won't be judged for anything you tell me. People do what they do for many reasons. Most of my clients say that I am very easy to talk to and that they feel safe sharing with me. I hope that you give me a shot! I look forward to going on a journey with you. FYI*** Please give 24 hours advanced notice if you can not attend an appointment or you will be charged $50.00 Also, If you do not show up for an appointment you will be charged $50.00 as well. I only get my hourly fee if I meet with the client for the allotted time. If the client does not show I don't get paid. Thanks for your time, Diane Smith

I am both a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Behavior Specialist in the State of Pennsylvania. The foundation of my approach is rooted in my education in Psychology and Sociology undergraduate degree from U Pitt, and my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling & Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine. Having courses, fieldwork, and research experience that blends behavioral, biological, social factors on both a micro and macro level has been crucial to developing my approach to treat mental health care - as healthcare, to treat clients holistically, incorporating and collaborating with other supportive therapies and providers.

I have 31 years of experience providing counseling. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, stressing that what we think determines what we feel and what we do. For many reasons, people learn unrealistic or destructive thoughts that cause them problems in their lives. Therapy works towards more realistic thinking, and avoiding old and destructive thinking. As I like to say, "therapy is a conversation with a destination," and realistic thinking is that destination. While I am a Christian, I am not trained as a Christian Counselor. I am a "Counselor who is a Christian." My training is secular, and I regularly see people or all faiths, or none at all. I do not offer court ordered services, nor do I do assessments for custody, or any other legal purpose. Unfortunately, I cannot accept Medicare, or Medicare based plans. The world is changing, and more and more people are reaching out. I am seeing more men that have been in abusive relationships. There are also more people dealing with loss. Coming to my office is not like going to a big mental health clinic where you just another number on a spreadsheet. In my care, you are a person, and you'll be treated like one.

Therapy gives people the opportunity to develop effective and healthy responses to life's stressors. I work to create a safe holding environment to allow you to feel comfortable being yourself. I work with clients to help them develop a deeper awareness regarding their behaviors, thoughts, patterns, and feelings. I like to get to the source rather than just focus on the symptoms. I work with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship stress, parenting, ADHD, identity exploration, assertive communication, self-esteem, and grief. We will work at your pace. It's about progress, not perfection. I work with you to help you empower yourself. Asking for help or support can be scary. Making the decision to begin therapy takes a great deal of strength. I offer free 15 minute phone consultations. In order to have a free consultation you may call me at 717-322-2102 or you may email me at larkin19@protonmail.com. Hello and welcome, I'm Sarah! Life can be stressful, overwhelming, and beautiful. I believe we all can benefit from professional support through therapy. Therapy looks different for everyone, but it is always a joint effort of therapist and client. I bring empathetic understanding, evidence-based clinical techniques, and a safe environment... you bring your unique experience in life, expertise on your situation, and willingness to work on yourself. I specialize in helping those who need support navigating the stress of life, as well as those who have experienced trauma. Additionally, I specialize in treating individuals in prenatal/postpartum support. My clinical training is in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). This highly specialized technique allows people who are "stuck" in depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, and psychotic disorders where other therapies have not been successful. We will go at your speed. Counseling is a space where you can explore, process, heal and grow. By being vulnerable we can allow ourselves the space to reflect on who we are now and where we have come from. I believe that we deserve a space where we can feel safe, comfortable and free from judgement. In this space, we can take out some of the boxes that are stored away and discover how we can let go of what no longer serves us while creating new ways of being and relating to ourselves, others, and the world around us .

My passion is working with children, teenagers, young adults, couples and families to process trauma and difficult experiences so they can experience growth and healing within themselves and their relationships. Through my work with individuals and family's I have learned the deep importance of understanding "what has happened" to people rather than viewing people through the lens of "what is wrong with people". Likewise, the importance of understanding one's family of origin and how this shapes our views of people and the world and impacts how we relate with people and navigate our world. I have worked in the treatment since i was 36 and have 35 years of experience. My early experience was in the drug and alcohol and relapse prevention field. During that time i attended the Gestalt Institute in Cleveland, Ohio where I took 4 years of intense training. This lead me to find that therapy is not a method for me to figure out the client but a means for the client to gain greater self-awareness in facing their own life aspirations and struggles. I place focus on clients’ somatic awareness, especially breath, so being more in their body so they can try on new physical and intellectual styles in facing their world. I have a lot of knowledge about what is called the 12 step process and have melded together spirituality and religion in my own life. Prior to being a counselor/ therapist i taught school, painted steel bridges and other structures, and was a machinist at a large steel company, that like the many in our area have since closed their shops.

I have been a therapist for years, and have spent a great deal of time helping those who have experienced trauma. I love working with people and have a special place in my heart for the Arts and Music. For many years I owned a woodcraft and ceramic business and continue to keep crafts close to me. I also love music and love to play the organ, piano, and guitar. I was a non-traditional student and received my bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology in 1996 from East Stroudsburg University, then raised my own three children for a while. I returned to school and completed my master's degree in Social Work in 2020 from Capella University. I currently hold an LCSW in PA. I have taken many additional trainings in Trauma-informed counseling, DBT, EMDR, and of course crafts/painting. Helping folks care for themselves is extremely important in life’s struggles, and sharing the heart's desires helps us all navigate the world. It is with great anticipation that I get to know the uniqueness of you in a holistic environment where we can work on reaching the heights of your passion. I hope all my folks find me supportive and comforting on their journey in life. We can do this! See you soon!

Hello and welcome to Grow Therapy. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have worked in the mental health field since 1998. First, with my bachelors degree and later doing clinical work after earning my master's degree. I believe taking care of our mental health should be as accepted and routine as taking care of our physical health. Therapy can help us to be the best versions of ourselves. Life is a beautiful mess. Sometimes everything seems to be going our way. And other times, it can leave us feeling overwhelmed, confused, and off balance. I would like to offer guidance and support as you navigate those ups and downs.

Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and have been providing counseling in a multitude of settings ranging from Residential, Hospitals and private practice for over the past 20 years. I have experience working with individuals struggling with negative self-talk, low self-esteem, mood instability, challenging irrational beliefs and anxiety/depression. The last 10 years, I have been working in a private practice setting with the primary diagnoses of anxiety/depression. I use the treatment modalities of client-centered approach, solution focused therapy as well as cognitive behavioral therapy.   Do you sometimes feel alone or sad? Find yourself thinking about things you want to do to feel better, but you just can't get yourself to get up and do them? Do you often worry about things that most likely will never happen or fear social situations? Let's face it, the struggles we face today can be very difficult, and everyone needs someone to talk to. I believe we all deserve a chance to feel our best and overcome life's challenges and that is what we will do together. As your therapist, I will work with you to reduce the stress that comes along with many of life's stressors and build a therapeutic trusting relationship. We will take those and turn them into positive changes that you will feel more secure within yourself.

To others it may seem like you've got it all together, but on the inside you're spinning out of control. Panic randomly punches you in the chest, taking your breath away, and you can't focus on anything else other than how to make it stop. You are consumed by trying to keep up with everyone else since they seem to have it all together, but you can barely function through the day. You feel like an awful mom because you are lashing out on your kids and hating the daily monotony instead of "embracing the joy of motherhood." You feel like you are failing your partner because somewhere along this journey you just lost yourself. You want to be a better mom to your kids. And remember why you fell in love with your partner. And stop the tornado of anxiety that knocks you out on the regular. You want to stop living by the expectations of others and rediscover who you truly are. It's time to win back some peace of mind and self-worth and attract the life you want. I have the DBT and mindfulness skills, which uses both mind and body exercises that will help you manage the crippling anxiety, love yourself better, be a more present and joyful mom, improve your relationships, and attract the life you want.

I believe therapy can be a universally rewarding practice that can help navigate through life's stressors. Especially in the last few years, we see how important it is to take care of ourselves and find support. It can be overwhelming and intimidating even trying to find a place to start. My goal is to help you navigate through obstacles and barriers you may experience in order to start looking forward to the future. You are the expert on your thoughts and experiences, and we will work together to find solutions that best fit your needs. My orientation is client-centered, meaning that you and I are equal partners in navigating the struggles you are going through. My approach is integrative, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), and humanistic approaches. My style is warm and casual; I understand the importance of building a strong and trustworthy relationship to create a safe and comfortable space for you. My main objective is to help you make the changes you need to have a life you enjoy living. We will work together to rediscover excitement in life and overcome the stressors that can overshadow them.

In my experience, all of us will ultimately experience problems that seem to overwhelm our normal abilities to cope. Life is hard and we need outlets to process those difficult times. I’ve worked with a variety of clients that have experienced anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, codependency, PTSD, substance abuse/addiction, anger management, marital/relationship issues, grief and loss, trauma & abuse, stress management and OCD. I primarily use a solution focused approach, focusing on your goals, and helping you grow through increasing awareness and insight into your concerns. I utilize components of different styles of therapy including CBT, solution focused, mindfulness and other techniques as well.
