I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania. I received my Master's Degree from Chatham University in Pittsburgh and have been providing therapy services for 14 years. I have worked with adolescents, adults, and married couples. I help clients struggling with an array of life and mental health concerns move forward with their mental health and overall functioning.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is an intake session. It is a review of back history, processing what is currently going on and plans for moving forward with the client's mental health. Preliminary goals and steps for these goals will be discussed in 1st session. I will explain how therapy sessions work and what evidence based theories I use for improving your overall mental health.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have gained experience with a wide variety of mental health concerns and life issues in the last 14 years. My priority is establishing a safe, secure, and trusted relationship with my clients so that they have the space to be their true self to create the change they are seeking. I utilize CBT, DBT, Interpersonal, Person Centered, and Positive Psych. methods.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between thoughts/emotions/behaviors. Also, to recognzie our faulty thinking and how it impacts us.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I utilize DBT skills to help clients increase emotional and cognitive regulation by learning about triggers that lead to reactive mental states. DBT can help with emotion regulation, handling stress better, being more mindful, and interpersonal communication.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

This helps clients grow towards self improvement and fullfillment through acceptance, genuineness, and a healthy empathetic understanding by the therapist.

Interpersonal

This helps clients focus on resolving communication/relationship problems with those that they have a close bond.

Positive Psychology

This helps clients focus on improving their overall quality of life/functioning.
