I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience in many areas including aging and dementia care, grief and loss, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, sexual abuse and sexual offender assessment and treatment. I have worked both inpatient and outpatient settings providing individual, family and group therapy to individuals of all ages. I am open minded and will bring compassion and non-judgment to our relationship.
For our first session, we will spend some time getting to know each other and diving into your goals for therapy. We will also talk about any recent life changes and transitions you may be experiencing. I will ask about your history, your needs, your weaknesses and strengths so that I can work to know you better.
I feel my greatest strengths as a clinician can be found in the diverse experience with individuals of all ages, intellectual abilities, legal status and in all stages of recovery.
I believe that the healing process and recovery looks different for each person. I look forward to being a part of each individual's journey to better themselves and provide long-term resolutions that are sustainable. I pride myself in being a good listener and looking at the big picture, including what each individual wants to get out of therapy.
I have supported individuals to become aware of their thinking, is it inaccurate or negative? If so, we can explore how you view challenging situations and how to respond in a more effective way, by changing your thinking and behavior patterns.
