Hi! I'm a licensed clinical social worker with 27 years of experience, both as a clinician/case manager and in leadership and supervisory roles. My career has been dedicated to mental health and neurodiversity, and while I’m eager to continue working in these areas, I’m also open to exploring new opportunities. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds—across socioeconomic status, race, religion, nationality, and sexual and gender orientations. I primarily enjoy working with adults, though I also find great fulfillment in supporting teenagers. Authenticity, humor, and relatability are central to my approach. I believe that meaningful change begins with self-understanding, yet many people remain stuck in unhelpful patterns because they struggle to recognize or challenge them. By forming a trusting alliance with my clients, I help them uncover breakthroughs, gain fresh insights, generate new ideas, and build the motivation needed to make positive, lasting changes—even when the process feels daunting, overwhelming, or unfixable.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My goal for the first session is COMFORT! I want to ensure I provide the space for each new client to feel safe, seen, and valued. I will provide a brief overview of what my client can expect from me, and I will ask them questions accordingly, based on how eager they are to share. I will allow them the opportunity to explain what they wish about their background and what brought them to therapy. I want to hear about what they are hoping to get out of our time together, even if it's just a simple starting goal that can be further cultivated at a later time. I am not overly rigid for the first session, as long as I am getting the information I need through the session to cover my bases for what I need to know. First session is about getting to know each other and establishing a level of comfort.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My high level of empathy is my greatest strength! I pride myself on being present for others, finding silver linings, being resourceful, serving as a trusted sounding board, and being consistent, patient, and supportive without overly sugarcoating hard truths.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am most adept at working with adults - primarily ages 18 through mid life. I also work well with teenagers, especially older teens. My comfort level is highest working with individuals with the following diagnoses: autism, learning disabilities, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and depression. I openly welcome individuals within the LGBTQIA community and am very comfortable working with people who are transitioning, transgender, non-binary, etc. I enjoy working with individuals as well as couples and families.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I tailor my approach to each client's individual needs and current level of awareness. I work with my clients to first develop a sense of trust and understanding, and to figure out where parts of their lives seem misaligned and causing them (or others close to them) to be in distress. I help people to decode their own mixed messages, so that they can identify the real source of their problems and work around or through barriers to achieve their goals. My goal is to help empower and motivate people to be their best versions within their comfort zone and current level of awareness, while also challenging them appropriately to learn, grow, and flourish to their higher potential.
