Hi, I’m Brittany, an LISW in Ohio, wife, and mom of three with a heart for supporting women through the many seasons and transitions of life. I’m especially passionate about women’s and maternal mental health and creating a space where women feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported. I’m the founder of Selah Maternal Wellness, a virtual private practice where I work with women navigating anxiety, stress, overwhelm, life transitions, relationships, identity, pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, and the everyday challenges that come with carrying so many roles. While maternal mental health holds a special place in my heart, my work is not limited to motherhood. I welcome women in all stages of life who are looking for a space to slow down, reconnect with themselves, build on their strengths, and create meaningful change. My approach is warm, collaborative, strengths-based, and focused on meeting you where you are. I also offer Christian counseling and faith-based therapy for women who would like to incorporate their faith into their healing journey, while always honoring each client’s individual beliefs and preferences. The name Selah reflects much of what I hope to offer through this work—a moment to pause, reflect, breathe, and reconnect. As women, we can spend so much time caring for everyone and everything around us that we forget we need care, too! Beyond individual therapy, I offer local workshops and group sessions to help women and moms connect, learn, and build supportive community. I’m also currently working toward my PMH-C certification to deepen my ability to support women throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Whether through individual therapy, faith-based support, workshops, or groups, my hope is for Selah to be a place where women can pause, feel supported, reconnect with who they are, and know they don’t have to navigate life alone.

Hi, I’m Marie — a therapist who believes that change is always possible, no matter where you are in life. My goal is to help you feel better emotionally, think more clearly, and move toward a future that feels fulfilling and peaceful. In our sessions, we’ll work together to understand what’s been holding you back and find practical ways to move forward. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you notice how your thoughts affect your emotions and actions—and teach you tools to shift negative thinking. I also use a solution-focused approach, which means we’ll focus on your strengths, celebrate what’s working, and create small, realistic steps that bring real progress. I often work with adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, or major life changes—like adjusting after a loss, a new diagnosis, or changes that come with getting older. My approach is supportive and empowering. I want you to feel heard, encouraged, and equipped with the tools to handle life’s challenges with more confidence and hope. As an immigrant and a bilingual therapist speaking both English and French, I understand the importance of culture, identity, and belonging. This lived experience allows me to better connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and support them through challenges related to identity, adjustment, and navigating different cultural expectations. My background helps me approach therapy with openness, cultural sensitivity, and a deep belief in the resilience of the human spirit.

I have been a therapist since 2000 and licensed since 2008. I work primarily with young to middle aged and older adults now. I also have worked extensively with children ages 7 and older. I will work with you to explore thoughts, feelings, and problems on a more internal and psychological level which I believe has a longer lasting impact while still clearing up the more overt behaviors. I use an eclectic style that includes a psychodymamic approach, cognitive-behavioral therapy, self-empowerment techniques, meditation and mindfulness. My sense of humor and relaxed, informal manner can help you feel safe and comfortable. I like to incorporate meditation, mindfulness, and positive visualization. With young to middle adults, we may address personal and career goals, job stress, and relationships, with older adults, transitioning from the workforce to retirement and managing grief and loss. If you are in the Cincinnati area, we do have the option of in-person/office based sessions, which we can discuss at the first session.

I'm a social worker with 50 years of experience with children, adolescents, families, couples and adults. I find that people get the best results when we look at their lives as a whole -- physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and social, as a member of your community. I have training and experience in a variety of treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT. I have worked since the late 70s with survivors of trauma: physical abuse, neglect, sexual assault, and combat trauma. It is a great honor to have received the trust of so many who have endured trauma, and to have been a part of their healing.

I’m a mental health therapist with more than thirteen years of experience, and my practice is grounded in honoring each client as a whole person. From the moment you enter session, you are respected, appreciated, and offered a space where you can speak freely and disclose only what feels right for you. Safety, dignity, and autonomy guide every part of our work together. Clinically, I draw from evidenced based approaches such as ERP, CBT, TRAP/TRAC, mindful‑living practices, and intentional space for processing — blending structure with openness so clients can explore both the practical and the deeply personal. My greatest strengths as a therapist are working with individuals struggling with OCD (you don't have to be afraid to speak your intrusive thoughts in my sessions. I am trained to understand the difference of ego dystonic intrusive thoughts that don't align with your true values and beliefs), Panic Attacks, Generalized Anxiety, Depression., aging and life transitions. Individuals struggling with eating disorders will be given referrals for treatment of this disorder. If chosen by the client, I can also help integrate Christian beliefs into treatment in a way that supports their healing, values, and sense of meaning. My role is to walk alongside you, offering evidence‑based care that aligns with who you are and how you want to grow.

The one question I get most often by clients and peers is: Why did you go into the counseling profession? My response is always the same. First, I have always had a desire to help people in a time of need or distress. I have felt this way as far back as high school. Secondly, I went through a debilitating anxiety disorder in my mid-twenties. I know first-hand the helplessness and desperation mental and emotional pain causes. I never condone a therapist sharing with a client, they know how the client feels unless they themselves have experienced a similar type of pain. Lastly, I believe in the power of counseling and the benefits it can offer. Counseling is very different from medicine. Counseling requires the client to be actively involved in the process of healing and growth rather than taking medication and waiting for it to work. Counseling empowers a client to by allowing them to see their progress towards the life they desire on a daily, weekly, and even monthly basis.

Do you feel like you're running at full capacity with no room left to breathe? On the surface, you have it all together: the high-performing professional, the dependable parent, the supportive partner. Underneath, it's different. Anxiety that won't quiet. Depression creeping in. Burnout from roles that never let you clock out. Often it's all of them at once, tangled together until they blur. I bring an engineer's mindset to therapy. My background in Mechanical Engineering shaped how I see problems, not as isolated issues but as complex systems needing recalibration. Most high-achievers I work with are tired of surface-level talk therapy; they want results. Together, we analyze what's actually breaking down, whether it's depression, anxiety, career burnout, or family dynamics. We build a concrete evidence-based plan using tools such as DBT and EMDR to process trauma and tackle performance issues. For over a decade, I've guided clients through major life transitions, for example career pivots, new parenthood, and loss, toward lives rooted in purpose and sustainable well-being.

I love meeting with people and finding out their personal goals and challenges and then creating a therapeutic approach that is unique to the individual and their needs. Creating a strong alliance with each and every client I see helps me to achieve this. This is what makes therapy successful! While my work is grounded in clinical, evidence-based approaches, I also believe that healing is a deeply personal journey and that many people experience their healing through a spiritual lens. For clients who are open to it, therapy can include exploration of spirituality, meaning, purpose, intuition, personal beliefs, and our relationship with something greater than ourselves. These conversations are never about imposing a particular religion or worldview. They are about making room for the parts of your experience that matter to you. I see therapy as an opportunity not only to reduce distress, but to better understand yourself, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and create a life that feels authentic and meaningful. We may explore the relationship between your thoughts, emotions, nervous system, body, relationships, values, and spiritual life as interconnected pieces of your overall wellbeing. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, trauma, burnout, life transitions, relationship difficulties, or simply a sense that something in your life no longer feels aligned, therapy can become a space for both healing and transformation

My goal is to help others help themselves to become the person they want to be. I’m very open-minded, non-judgmental, and caring. I specialize in DBT, CBT, ACT and trauma-focused evidenced based practices. Although I believe in an eclectic approach, and meeting my client where they're at. I want to create a safe space, that's non-judgmental for our work together.

In therapy with me, there’s no judgment, no fluff, and no “one-size-fits-all” solutions. We’ll start where you are whether that’s putting out fires in your daily life or addressing deeper wounds that keep pulling you back. I combine Brainspotting, practical tools, and direct conversation to help you manage today’s struggles while healing the past. My focus areas include anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and domestic violence. I also work with therapists, first responders, and others carrying the weight of the world. My style is direct, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that healing is messy but possible. Together, we’ll create a space to explore your emotions, uncover patterns, and build strategies that work for you. It’s not about perfection it’s about progress and reclaiming your life on your terms. **If you try to book and there is no availability that works for you please reach out, directly via my website**

Welcome - I am glad you are here! I am accepting new Ohio and Kentucky clients via telehealth in February. Life is a complex mix of beauty and messiness, and I believe that while time passes, true healing requires intention. Our experiences—from our earliest memories to the present—shape how we move through the world. I am here to help you gently navigate those layers, understanding how your past influences your present so you can intentionally reshape your future. My Approach I provide a safe, affirming, and non-judgmental space where you are always the expert on your own life. My practice blends: Trauma-Informed & Strengths-Based Care: Honoring your history while focusing on your inherent resilience. Practical Tools: Providing actionable skills you can use outside of our sessions to support your daily well-being. Collaborative Growth: Whether you are navigating grief, trauma, or a major life transition, we will work together to build a path that reflects your unique needs. The Goal Together, we will work toward a future where you can hold compassion for your past, purpose in your present, and genuine hope for your future. You don’t have to find your footing alone.
