New to Grow
Hello, I'm Allison. Do you ever find yourself feeling stressed out, overwhelmed, sad, or struggling with life balance? I am here to help you navigate these challenges and work with a variety of issues, including depression, trauma, anxiety, grief, life events, and difficult adjustments. Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and mindfulness techniques, I am dedicated to improving the lives of my clients with a flexible, respectful, and genuine approach. Seeing the growing need for mental health support in society, I long to offer support and connection to help guide you through difficult times. My goal is to help you achieve the insight and peace you deserve. It is an honor to be a part of your story, to witness your growth, and to walk beside you on this journey of change. I hold a Master's degree (MA) and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, as well as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. My specializations include anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, family relationships, life transitions, phobias, intimate and romantic relationships, sex and intimacy issues, spirituality, stress, trauma, PTSD, addiction, and anger management. If you're interested in starting this journey together, please reach out, and we can set up a video session to get started. Thank you!
During out first session we will focus on discussing what is bringing you in and what symptoms you are dealing with, we will get to know one another and establish a few preliminary goals.
I am very passionate about therapy, about growth and the amazing things that can happen when a person decides to ask for help and walk that path to change. It can be scary and overwhelming to think of doing that alone, I have been down this road myself, and being able to take this journey with you is a true privilege.
I like to work with a wide range of ages above 18, and all life stages. I am trained to treat anxiety, depression and trauma most intensely, but I am willing to work and enjoy all types of clients from couples, to individuals struggling with life changes and much in between. I don’t have a gender preference or any favorite types of clients.
I use this method by helping client learn to identify their emotions, thoughts and behaviors, how they affect and interact with each other and create patterns reinforcing their symptoms. We also use this knowledge to then find solutions to break these patterns, learn new ones, and implement health coping skills.
I use this method to help client address where they are at in their stage of change, why they are struggling with motivation, follow-through, or decision making in general, it is a great way to address barriers and identify boundaries.
Mindfulness is a skill everyone can use in life, it helps us learn to identify and prioritize our issues and their solutions. It helps the client stay present and grounded, which will reduce symptoms and triggers overall.
This is a treatment method that can help client’s dig deeper into their issues in a safe and non-threatening way. It will help highlight things that are easily overlooks, or even help clients look at situations in a way they never have before. Narrative therapy is also very useful in developing good habits and self care.
This method is used in my practice because every client is different and one single approach does not fit for everyone, this is a way to tailor treatment to the individual client and their needs.
