Hi! I am an independently licensed therapist based in Ohio. I received my Master's degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2002 with a concentration in adult mental health. Most of my career has been working with and advocating on behalf of families and/or adolescents. I have special training in Gambling Addiction, Financial Social Work, and Trauma and Loss, but I also have worked with clients dealing with Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, and other difficulties due to life circumstances.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, I will answer any questions you have and get to know you better. Ultimately, I will ask you what you hope will be different once we are successful in our work together. I will take those hopes and develop a treatment plan that will help you reach your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am really warm and not judgmental, so clients usually feel comfortable sharing difficult but important information with me. That openness allows me to develop unique insights and see connections that can help get to the root of what is going on for clients.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love to work with men and women who feel lost about what direction to take in their lives. They may be struggling with relationships, career, school, or identity issues, and I enjoy having conversations that help uncover answers and solutions that were previously unknown. I was a college professor for a decade, so I also love to teach new skills and concepts that help clients regain control over their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I work with clients to identify underlying thoughts and feelings that might be leading to anxiety, depression, or other issues. Between session clients often complete activities that help them practice new skills and develop ways to interact differently with others.
