Sometimes life is hard and sometimes life hurts, but there is always hope. Pain, loss, and suffering are real. I am willing to meet you where you are, to take the time to come along side you, and I am willing to help. Every client is different, and there is no single way to help everyone. That is why I take the time to listen to your story. I utilize clinically proven solution-focused therapies and cognitive behavioral therapies to help clients heal.
In the first session we will get to know one another, and we will also talk about the specific challenges that you are facing. What comes out of the first session, helps me create a plan for a treatment that is specific to your needs.
After working in this field for 12 years, I have learned to listen, ask questions, and be able to adapt to your counseling needs throughout the process. This allows us to continue working toward measurable results, and for you to get an understanding of what healthy looks and feels like for you.
I love working with people that have anxiety, helping them gain understanding, and seeing them overcome their fears. I also really enjoy helping couples find connection, learn good communication, and be intentional about loving one another again.
As a clinician, I use CBT to help individuals change unhelpful or unhealthy thinking, feeling, and behaving patterns. I use it to help clients focus on the present and teach them practical strategies for managing thoughts, behaviors, and to give them a better understanding of their individual struggle. This allows the client to plan a path forward toward healing and health.
