Hello and congratulations on taking the first step in getting the support you need and deserve. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience, I understand how intimidating the process of starting therapy can be. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, mentally unsteady, or unsure how to move forward — you don’t have to carry that alone.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and graduate of North Carolina State University. I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship stress, and questions of direction or purpose. Many of the people I support feel capable and motivated — yet internally worn down, struggling to feel grounded, present, or confident in themselves.
My primary focus is helping clients stabilize emotionally and mentally — so you feel more anchored, regulated, and clear. From that place of steadiness, we begin to explore how you can grow into the fullest version of yourself, making the most of your strengths, values, and lived experience rather than trying to become someone you’re not.
Therapy with me is not about pushing or fixing — it’s about creating a solid foundation where clarity, confidence, and meaningful change can naturally emerge. For those who find meaning and strength in their Christian faith, I welcome that as part of our work together — though spirituality is never required or assumed. You bring what matters to you, and we build from there.
I am a dedicated mental health professional and military veteran with a deep commitment to serving fellow service members and individuals facing stressor-related issues. I am a proud graduate of the Army’s Master of Social Work program through Fayetteville State University and use my personal experience with clinical expertise to provide compassionate and effective care for my clients. My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practice.

Reprogramming your mindset is the key to your success.

Having been through a lot in my teenage years into adulthood, where I learned self-confidence, I have found that if I had someone to help me work through issues of stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and many other life factors I would have been successful sooner.
I have experience in diverse cultures where I have found I learn just as much from the people around me as they learn from me. Having an open mind and listening to my clients helps me to relate and understand them and develop a treatment plan or plan of action with them that makes them feel comfortable.
I have an extensive history helping individuals understand their career path, educational needs, and learning life skills. I have a passion for mental health because of the family history with depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, and substance abuse, and it drives me to want to help others.
I believe it is important to empower individuals, couples, and families towards a sense of normalcy and autonomy, and developing skills to meet the goals they have for their lives. Taking a holistic approach to counseling I take into consideration the whole person and stive to build a good working relationship with each client to better understand them, helping them feel at ease at a time that may feel stressful and awkward, and helping them navigate life's challenges.
In my free time I like to go to the beach, take a walk in nature, and enjoy spending time with my children and 2 dogs. I also enjoy learning, reading, and going to amusement parks when time allows.
I genuinely love what I do and feel grateful for the opportunity to support others as they explore their stories, their strengths, and the direction they want their lives to take. Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of North Carolina. I received my Masters degree from Arizona State University and have been practicing for over 10 years. I believe that working together in a safe, non-judgmental environment can create space for the healing you deserve.
In my early career I worked with Child Protective Services to support the reunification of children with their biological parents. I then moved to North Carolina to continue work with keeping families together that had suffered trauma and/or behavioral issues. From there, I worked as an individual therapist working with teenagers and adults. During that time, I led groups that focused on education for women who experienced anxiety on a daily basis. Prior to the Grow Therapy platform, I worked to support adults in crisis who needed immediate psychiatric support.
Hi, I'm Amy. Thank you for taking the first step to create change and work toward your goals. Do you feel out of balance and overwhelmed? I am passionate about supporting people to find balance and improve overall well-being. I believe every person has the ability and power to live their best life. To quote Rumi “The wound is the place where the light enters you” has been a guiding quote to find new abilities and opportunities. Self-improvement requires "doing the work" and reaching out for counseling is the first step in "doing the work".

When not working as a counselor, I take care of my energetic toddler. We enjoy swimming, reading, cooking and crafts.

I specialize in working with adults including LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent clients. I pay close attention to creating space that feels actively affirming – not just “tolerant”. You’ll find that I’m transparent about the therapy process, that I name what I see with care, and that I hold your pain and resilience in mind at the same time.

My responsibility as a clinician is to help you feel seen, heard, and understood after every session and more deeply connected to your mind, body, and heart.
Recognizing that healing does not occur in a vacuum, I approach my clinical work through an inclusive liberation-focused lens that acknowledges systems of oppression, validates their impact on you, and champions your identities with respect to gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, religion and spirituality, neurodivergence, body expression and body size, and dis/ability. Navigating the intersection of our respective individual identities through open dialogue, with careful consideration of privileged and historically marginalized identities, is of the highest importance to me.
