I am a down-to-earth and attentive professional dedicated to helping my clients overcome life’s obstacles. My approach creates a relaxed, conversational environment where clients feel at ease to explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges. By working collaboratively, I empower individuals to uncover insights and solutions that align with their goals. I believe in meeting my clients where they are, fostering a supportive and non-judgmental space where we can navigate difficulties together. Whether you’re facing personal, relational, or emotional challenges, my goal is to walk alongside you, helping you gain clarity, build resilience, and move forward with confidence and purpose.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session with me, you can expect a laid-back and welcoming atmosphere where you feel comfortable and supported. My goal is to create a safe space where we can start to get to know each other without any pressure. We’ll begin by talking about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to get out of our time together. I’ll ask some questions to learn about your background, current challenges, and goals, but it will feel more like a relaxed conversation than an interview. This session is really about you sharing at your own pace, and there’s no need to have everything figured out right away. We’ll also talk about how I work as a therapist and what you can expect from future sessions. Together, we’ll start to create a plan tailored to your needs, and I’ll answer any questions you might have about the therapy process. By the end of the session, my hope is that you’ll leave feeling heard, understood, and reassured that you’re taking a meaningful step toward addressing what’s on your mind. It’s the beginning of a collaborative journey where we’ll work together to help you find clarity, relief, and growth.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, I believe my greatest strengths lie in my down-to-earth approach, my ability to create a safe and non-judgmental space, and my genuine attentiveness to my clients’ needs. I pride myself on building strong therapeutic relationships where clients feel comfortable being themselves and exploring their challenges at their own pace. I also excel at tailoring evidence-based techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to meet each client’s unique situation. Whether someone is navigating grief, unexpected life changes, or relational conflicts, I work collaboratively to identify practical solutions and strategies that resonate with them personally. Additionally, I bring a calm, grounded presence to my sessions, which helps clients feel supported and empowered. I am skilled at listening deeply, helping clients untangle complex emotions, and guiding them toward meaningful insights and actionable steps. My goal is always to meet clients where they are and help them find clarity, resilience, and growth in a way that feels authentic and achievable.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My experience with this treatment method has been extensive and deeply rooted in the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT focuses on identifying and modifying negative thought patterns and behaviors, enabling clients to develop healthier coping mechanisms and achieve lasting change. In my practice, I incorporate this method by first building a strong therapeutic alliance, which provides a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. I use structured assessments to identify cognitive distortions and behavioral patterns that may contribute to their challenges. From there, I collaborate with clients to set specific, measurable, and achievable goals. Using techniques such as thought records, behavioral experiments, and cognitive restructuring, I guide them in challenging and reframing maladaptive beliefs. I also integrate mindfulness and relaxation exercises to help clients develop resilience and manage stress effectively. Throughout the process, I emphasize skill-building and relapse prevention to ensure the sustainability of progress. My goal is to empower clients with tools they can apply beyond therapy, fostering autonomy and self-efficacy in addressing future challenges.

Christian Counseling

My experience with this treatment method is grounded in a Christian Counseling approach, which integrates psychological principles with Biblical truths to address emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges. This approach allows clients to find healing and growth while aligning their mental health journey with their faith. In my practice, I use this method by starting with prayer and scripture-based reflections to create a spiritually centered therapeutic environment. I work with clients to explore how their faith can be a source of strength, addressing issues through the lens of God’s promises and teachings. I incorporate tools such as Biblical narratives, Christian meditation, and faith-based goal setting to help clients reframe negative thought patterns and develop Christ-centered coping strategies. For example, I guide clients to replace self-defeating thoughts with affirmations rooted in their identity in Christ, such as being fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). This holistic approach acknowledges the interplay of mind, body, and spirit, fostering healing through both clinical techniques and spiritual renewal. My goal is to empower clients to grow closer to God while overcoming their challenges, walking in the freedom and peace that faith offers.

Grief Therapy

My experience with this treatment method in grief therapy is extensive and rooted in creating a compassionate and supportive environment for clients navigating loss. Grief therapy focuses on helping individuals process their emotions, adapt to life after a loss, and find a path toward healing and growth. In my practice, I begin by acknowledging and normalizing the complex emotions associated with grief, such as sadness, anger, guilt, or even relief. I use evidence-based techniques, such as guided reminiscing, narrative therapy, and mindfulness exercises, to help clients explore their feelings and memories. I also work with clients to identify and challenge unhelpful beliefs about their grief, such as feelings of responsibility or the pressure to "move on" quickly. We collaboratively explore healthy ways to honor their loved ones, such as creating rituals, journaling, or finding meaning in the loss. Throughout the therapy process, I tailor interventions to the individual’s needs, whether focusing on emotional expression, rebuilding a sense of normalcy, or developing new connections and sources of support. My ultimate goal is to help clients integrate their loss into their life story and rediscover hope and purpose as they move forward.
