Hey you, Hey! My name is Winter Albohaire and I am a licensed clinician servicing both North and South Carolina. I have always had a passion helping people with real life challenges. I have over 20 years of experience in Human Services. A few years prior, I decided to shift my career in therapy to participate in impactful and meaningful connections with others. I look forward to getting to know you and work as a team to implement a plan of action for positive change.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients will learn what to expect within the therapeutic process. The focus will be on what brought them to therapy, implement realistic goals and teach them a variety of skills to solve their problems.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a clinician, the unique attributes I possess is life and personal experience within the foster care system. I know well the negative impacts of trauma and instability that can hinder growth and warp a sense of self-worth. As a provider, I have the ability to approach therapy in a humanistic, realistic, and compassionate way; to help others build hope and empowerment for their future.

My treatment methods

Reality Therapy

Reality approach is based on the five basic needs of choice. The five principles of reality therapy are survival, love and belonging, power, freedom and fun. The goal is to teach you how to incorporate these in your daily life experiences.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused approach is to teach problem-solving skills. Techniques such as psychoeducation, modeling and role-playing can teach you how to define a specific problem to generate possible solutions for better outcomes.

Compassion Focused

Although there is no one-size-fits all related to therapeutic modalities; Compassion Focused approach is the foundation in building a healthy therapeutic alliance. Let's be honest, if therapy lacked empathy or compassion, would you feel secure in your healing journey? As a clinician, I can provide a safe space for healing, learning and growth.
