As a native Floridian, I’m passionate about supporting individuals in my community through life’s challenges. I recognize the value of having a trusted space to talk openly—outside of one’s immediate circle. My approach is flexible and tailored to each client, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and traditional talk therapy. I’m especially focused on helping clients understand the “why” behind their thoughts and emotions, and on equipping them with practical coping strategies to foster growth and resilience.
In our first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming space to begin sharing their story at their own pace. We'll go over what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, and start getting to know each other. I’ll also explain how therapy works, answer any questions you have, and gather some background to better understand your experiences. Most importantly, it's a time to see if you feel comfortable and supported—because a strong therapeutic connection is the foundation for meaningful progress.
My greatest strengths as a provider lie in my ability to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. I am deeply committed to meeting each individual where they are and adapting my approach to fit their unique needs. With a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and talk therapy, I bring flexibility and a client-centered approach to help individuals understand the "why" behind their emotions and develop effective coping strategies. My empathy, active listening skills, and passion for helping others navigate their personal journeys allow me to build strong, supportive relationships that foster lasting change.
I am best positioned to serve individuals ages 15 up who are seeking a deeper understanding of their emotions, behaviors, and thought patterns. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, struggling with stress, anxiety, or depression, or simply seeking personal growth, I offer a compassionate and nonjudgmental space for exploration. I work with clients who are open to learning more about themselves, developing healthier coping strategies, and making meaningful changes.
I work with the clients to gain an understanding of the reason(s) they are interested in making changes. I enjoy working with the client in this way because I feel that it is not only provides for more collaboration, but also is more likely to elicit behavior changes.
I enjoy teaching my clients and their loved ones why they are having the feelings and how they can move forward in a positive manner. Psychoeducation provides clients with a sense of empowerment and promotes insight and skill building through the treatment process.
CBT challenges the negative thinking patterns of the clients and allows them to develop healthier behaviors and skills. This is a goal-oriented technique and works based on the idea that our thoughts influence feelings and actions.
Narrative therapy helps clients to reframe negative narratives. It is a strengths-based approach with the goal of helping clients to understand how environmental factors (cultural, social, personal, etc.) shape their identity.
