Hello! I'm Carrie. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I work with teens, young adults, and adults who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is very collaborative, and my goal for our time together will be to work alongside of you as we focus on your strengths and goals, finding solutions to your challenges that will support meaningful, long-lasting growth for you. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and my #1 goal is to help you feel comfortable from the very beginning. During our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brought you to therapy. I'll ask you to share the challenges you're facing, what's been working (or not working), and what you hope will be different in your life. I hope to learn more about your unique experiences, strengths, and support systems so I can understand how to best support you. This first session is also about you having the opportunity to decide if I am the best fit for you! Together, we'll identify your goals for therapy and begin creating a plan that feels realistic, meaningful, and completely tailored to your needs. I view therapy as a collaborative process, so you can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space where your voice and input matter.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients describe me as approachable, collaborative, and honest. I believe there are times when people just need a safe space to process their feelings, feel heard, and simply be supported. There are other times when growth requires a gentle push, a new perspective, or ideas for strategies that may work for you during those challenging times. My approach is to offer both of these approaches to you, bringing empathy and support while providing honest feedback tailored to what you need in those moments. I will never tell you what to do because I believe that you are the expert in your life. My role is simply to help you better understand yourself, cheer for you, and be there beside you as you create meaningful, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, or chronic stress who are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. They may feel overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or disconnected from the life they want to live. I work best with clients who are open to self-reflection, willing to practice new skills between sessions, and looking for a collaborative therapist who offers both compassionate support and honest feedback. Together, we'll build practical tools, strengthen resilience, and help you move toward a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and fulfilling.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We will use CBT strategies to help you identify the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be causing you to feel stuck. We will identify and practice using practical skills to challenge unhelpful thinking and develop healthier patterns to support your goals.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

We will use principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help you make room for difficult thoughts and emotions without letting them control your life. We will work together to identify what matters most to you and then build strategies to help you move toward those values, even when anxiety, depression, or self-doubt show up.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

We will incorporate Mindfulness to help you practice slowing down, with the goal to increase awareness of your thoughts and emotions, and help you to respond to them instead of reacting. We will figure out which skills work best for you and then we will build on these skills to help you apply them in ways to better manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and feel more connected to yourself and others.
