If you’re feeling overwhelmed, mentally unsteady, or unsure how to move forward — you don’t have to carry that alone. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and graduate of North Carolina State University. I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship stress, and questions of direction or purpose. Many of the people I support feel capable and motivated — yet internally worn down, struggling to feel grounded, present, or confident in themselves. My primary focus is helping clients stabilize emotionally and mentally — so you feel more anchored, regulated, and clear. From that place of steadiness, we begin to explore how you can grow into the fullest version of yourself, making the most of your strengths, values, and lived experience rather than trying to become someone you’re not. Therapy with me is not about pushing or fixing — it’s about creating a solid foundation where clarity, confidence, and meaningful change can naturally emerge. For those who find meaning and strength in their Christian faith, I welcome that as part of our work together — though spirituality is never required or assumed. You bring what matters to you, and we build from there.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
*Our first session is a clinical assessment — and while it's structured, it's anything but cold. It's a dedicated space where I take the time to truly understand you: your history, the experiences that have shaped you, and what's bringing you to therapy right now. *Through a comprehensive assessment, we'll explore your personal history, current challenges and experiences that have brought you to this point. I'll ask thoughtful questions — not to check boxes, but to gain a deeper, more complete picture of who you are and what you actually need from this process. *By the end of our first session, we'll have a clear, shared understanding of your goals and the foundation of a personalized treatment plan — one that's clinically informed and built specifically around your life and where you want to go.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
*My greatest strength is the ability to create safety — the kind of space where people finally say the things they've never said out loud. Clients often tell me they feel genuinely understood, sometimes for the first time. In practice, this means I bring: -Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as my primary modality — practical, evidence-based tools that help you identify and shift the thought patterns driving how you feel and act -A strong emphasis on values clarification drawn from ACT — helping you get clear on what matters most and align your choices with the life you actually want to live -An IFS-informed perspective that helps clients understand the deeper reasons behind unhealthy patterns and behaviors —not to judge them, but to make sense of them After more than a decade of this work, I bring a direct, collaborative style — I'm not just a listener, I'm an active partner in your growth. I've learned that healing isn't a straight line, and I know how to stay the course with people through the hard stretches.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I do my best work with adults who are in the middle of something — a transition, a reckoning, a crossroads. People who know something needs to change, but aren't quite sure where to start. You might be navigating: • A career shift that's shaking your sense of identity • Relationship changes — separation, loss, conflict, or simply growing apart • Persistent feelings of low self-worth or questioning your direction • A deep sense that you're capable of more — but something invisible keeps getting in the way I particularly love working with people who are ready to do real work — not just vent, but actually dig in and grow.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my therapy practice, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and transform unhelpful thought patterns that impact their emotions and behaviors. By collaboratively exploring the connections between thoughts, feelings, and actions, I guide clients in developing practical skills to challenge distorted thinking and implement more adaptive coping strategies. This is an evidenced based approach that I feel helps to significantly help individuals experience a more meaningful life.
Christian Counseling
I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with faith-based counseling for clients who find strength and meaning in their Christian beliefs. While using evidence-based CBT techniques to address thought patterns and behaviors, I honor how faith can serve as a powerful resource for healing and personal growth. This integrated approach allows clients to align therapeutic strategies with their spiritual values, creating meaningful change that resonates with their faith journey.
Eclectic
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I draw from diverse therapeutic approaches to create a personalized treatment experience that fits each client's unique needs and goals. By integrating various evidence-based methods and techniques, I help clients navigate life's challenges while building on their inherent strengths. This flexible, client-centered approach allows us to work together to foster meaningful change, enhance personal growth, and develop practical strategies for lasting well-being.
