I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is skilled in numerous modalities that includes both EMDR and sensorimotor therapies. My specialties go to the root of the problem and finds the silver thread or in therapeutic terms the neurobiological network that connects the negative beliefs inherent in all the trauma the patient experienced. In addition to my trauma training I earned my RPT (registered play therapist) and I have extensive knowledge of child development and counseling children and adolescents. I am willing to counsel adolescents online but children younger than 12 must be seen in person.

I place a high value on authenticity, empathy, and self-awareness, both for myself and my clients as individuals, but also as a critical part of the therapeutic process (I also take advantage of the healing power of laughter whenever possible!). I aim to normalize and validate my clients’ experiences without judgment, and above all, to provide the most basic of human needs: to feel seen and heard. Hi! My name is Stephanie (Stephanie or Stevie is fine) and I have been providing therapy in NJ exclusively via telehealth for the last 3 years (prior to that, in person). If you have been struggling with symptoms of depression or anxiety, particularly if they are related to a traumatic experience, I would love the opportunity to work with you to reduce your mood- or anxiety-related symptoms, and to help you to experience a present that is not overshadowed or negatively impacted by situations and events from your past. I love working with women ages 20 to 30-something who are still in academia or just starting out in their careers, but also love working with women of any age. I frequently work with survivors of child sexual abuse, as well as those struggling with issues related to self-esteem/self-worth, but have treated clients with many different conditions, the most common of which are listed below. *My practice is focused primarily on treating adults who identify as female as well as being a welcoming space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I do not currently treat cisgender heterosexual males, children or adolescents. Visit my website for client feedback: www.of2mindstherapy.com

Hey, my name is Marrium Guirguis and I am here to help you wherever you are in life. I believe we all have a story to tell and regardless of how similar two experiences sound, they will still be very different from each other and deserve to be heard, validated and worked with uniquely. Throughout my career, I have specialized in working with adults and adolescents 14+ with PTSD, Anxiety, working with survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence, family dynamics, supportive therapy through challenges, people with disabilities, and young couples. One thing uniquely about myself is that I am a little person (dwarfism). I navigate the world at 3’6” tall and had to overcome a lot and have learned tremendously from my experiences. If you resonate with that and feel there could be a lot to unpack and work through, I can help you. I have had great success in incorporating one's culture, faith, values and morals due to it being integral in understanding who they are. My Christian faith has influenced my desire to help people, but I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds in a faith-based or secular style, based on your preference. Life is moving pretty fast with all of the rapid changes occurring daily. This may be what you are looking for to be able to gain that much more control over it. I have extensive knowledge on the impact of trauma when we desire loving supportive connections. Whether there has been a significant loss, a life transition, relational conflict, or daily stressors, we all need support during difficult times. Sometimes, however, a trained professional can help navigate these challenges and assist in facilitating positive change. We aren’t always able to recognize the underlying cause of our discomfort or find ways to overcome life’s challenges. In a therapeutic setting, we will work together to discover healthier ways for you to deal with life’s struggles, make desired changes, improve relationships, and find inner healing. Seeking therapy can be viewed as an investment in yourself. Improving mental and emotional health is as important as one’s physical health. My role is to provide a safe space and come alongside you on your journey. I work with adolescents and adults and provide individual, couples, and family counseling services. I treat depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, (PTSD), relationship issues, parenting, behavioral concerns, and many other problems affecting how we feel and operate in the world.

It is this aspect that led Nicole to dive more deeply into integrative wellness and immerse herself into true healing. I am patient and kind, but I will hold you accountable if necessary. I am here for you. This applies to both young adults and adults. I will do my best to understand what your needs are in order and develop a treatment plan based on that order: emotional, physical, reminders, etc... and how to be ready to move through the week ahead. I don’t believe therapy should be some boring clinical experience that you dread attending. I aim at creating a light hearted space for my clients to face whatever has brought them to my door. (Well technically I don’t have a door since its telehealth but you know what I mean) I talk so casually during sessions that you’ll feel like we’ve met before. I’ll ask you about what’s been going on and how you’re experiencing it. I’ll ask you how your much-needed date night went this past weekend, or how far you made it into that book you wanted to read. I sincerely want to know how you’ve been doing. I’m not afraid to talk about the hard or awkward stuff, and I’m also not afraid to let you know when you’re limiting yourself. Our therapy is a judgment free zone. You don’t judge my cats who sometimes make an appearance and I won’t judge you. I will put in the time and show up and if you will do the same great things can happen! Some of you may be here because you are going through something that is very painful and my idea of ‘fun’ therapy may not seem to fit. I encourage you to give it a chance. We will have the difficult conversations and cry the tears but perhaps my approach will make all of that a little more bearable.

My name is Marisa. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health from Rutgers School of Biomedical Science. I provided individual counseling and case management to individuals diagnosed with mental health and substance abuse barriers. As a graduate student, I have launched community-wide outreach events to educate members of the community about Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. This work strengthened my commitment to become an advocate for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking. I am deeply committed to my work and this is demonstrated in my ability to connect with my clients. My goal as a clinician is to empower individuals and families while remaining receptive to feedback throughout the therapeutic process. I use a wide collective range of clinical modalities and interventions such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which assists in combating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Passionate that therapy must meet the individual’s needs, I believe that therapy and progress are not linear, and must be tailored to the individual. I have a deep passion, advanced education, and extensive field experience that have provided me with a dynamic set of interpersonal skills that cement my effectiveness as a competent clinician.

What do you see when you look into the mirror? If you see anything other than exactly who you are or who you want to be, accepting all your flaws for the uniqueness they are meant to be, and find that this is getting in the way of living your best life, you are in the right place. I am a dually licensed Professional Counselor and Drug & Alcohol Counselor with certifications in trauma training. My approach to counseling is to provide the space for you to explore who you are while providing guidance in your journey. This allows you to find the core issues that led to any unhappiness or struggles holding back authentic living. I look for maladaptive patterns (such as addiction, unhealthy relationships, overeating, self-sabotage, etc.) throughout your life that led to repeated outcomes in order to help you intervene them and find more helpful behaviors (coping patterns) that allow you to live in line with your values. This helps to live more authentically and get in touch with who you are, rather simply living in line with any assigned roles you were given in the past. At birth, we are a Tabula Rasa – Blank Slate - and my belief is that when beginning self-exploration or recovery journeys we become the same. Ask yourself: “Who am I?” Let me help you to begin filling in the specifics, rather than the roles!

TaMara brings a wealth of experience in an unconventional way. As a former owner of a home healthcare company, that primarily provided services to the elderly, TaMara found herself assisting families, particularly adult children, who had to make tough healthcare and financial decisions for their parent(s). She helped families establish goals on how best to support their parents in maintaining dignity and independence while simultaneously identifying the next steps in the event of their parents’ passing. While families had to come to terms with the physical, mental, and/or psychological changes seen in their parents, taking on the parental role was quite emotionally challenging for adult children. TaMara supported the entire family in managing these delicate issues.
